What was going on wioth Gus' push and shove with opp coach...was it the Jap coach, or if not who was it?

BTW I though only musos had one word names....Zico, was it?

Back on track....does this sorta sh*t occur often in soccer, coaches having a go at one another and will anything come of it or is it really nothing?

I can imagine the brou ha ha if Ricky shoved Happy Joe in the chest on the sidelines.......Oh god id love to see some of our coaches go at it. :lol:

Serious enough to see him watching the game on the TV back at the hotel they think. FIFA are pretty strict on this.

Well if thats the case it shows poor discipline from our coach...who should be seeting an example.

I dunno if the ref was swayed by the Japs bleating before the game about us playing rough ....or if that style of play is normal, but we seemed quite ill disciplined and seemed to lose it a bit after their dud goal....they need to be more composed, cool and disciplined, coach included if they wanna go any further.

It's just passion, it's not like he punched anyone. We don't even know if the official was being a pain in the @r$e.

I think more coaches should show passion like that rather than being the robots we usually see. To see him pumping his fists after the second goal was awesome.

FIFA are pretty cut and dried about that. Putting your hands on a referee is an automatic 12 months apparently.

I think it was the Japanese conditioner. The bloke was attending to a player who had to be taken off. Hiddink was on the sideline and the Japanese physio must have said something for Hiddink to get all riled up.

I was watching the Italy v Ghana match this morning, and a Ghanaen took what appeared to be a bit of a dive midaway through the second half. They showed a replay of the reaction from the italian bench and there is Marcello Lipi and a bunch of his old Italian cronies doing the diving motion with their hands as if to say. "that is disgraceful, you shouldn't dive"...

Coming from Italians the founders of diving, i found that priceless...

Of that I am aware. I was just highlighting the fact that they pretty much have a no tolerance policy.

Paul Wade was on Channel Nine this monring saying that it was pretty much definite that he would miss the next game.

But the rest of the world has caught up now and you see alot of it from alot of different nations which is quite frustrating. Thank goodness we don't seem to be too bad in the diving department.

See this is why I respect players like Viduka and Van Nistelroy who don't "dive" to get a free kick. I can't remember the last time Viduka took a dive! Brazil are shocking and don't get me started on Italy or Robben!
