That statement - and you have posted it several times - just doesn't make sense..Are you using big words again without knowing what they mean?
Please explain what you are trying to get at...or ask a grown up to help you.

you're kidding, right? if you cannot make sense of it then maybe you should be the one that's growing up old man lol

Oh yeah that's right, your a journalist

And just for you Pete perfect timing. Just got back an assignment worth 30% overall and you guessed it, another HD:cool: puts me in good stead for my exam on friday, and maybe a HD mark overall considering my HD in my first assignment:cool:

6 more subjects to go Pete till the completion of my degree:cool:

did you even get a degree? or did you just know someone. You know what's like in the country...

No, I am not a journo. Ex Public Servant, Publican, Motelier, Newspaper Proprietor and journo, but I am now retired..a pensioner. The pays not much but the hours are good.
My degree was on life.. and btw, you don't need a degree to tell you you have made it in the 'real world'.
I have three kids I put through Uni that have degrees, a brother and two sisters who have degrees..But me. No I don't..I finished school in fourth year of High School in 1961..with a comment "Peter would have found Fifth Year (Leaving Certificate) very difficult". I came 46 in a class of 48.
But I have had my education in "Life's University"...
I have known a bloke who missed out on becoming a **** cart driver because he couldn't read or write..yet ended up as a millionaire because he had other skills.
Good on you for going on and furthering your education. You will always be better off, knowledge is power these days. But unless you have common sense to go with it you have nothing.
Some of the most educated people from overseas are driving taxi's for a living in Sydney. Some of the best educated kids are asking "would you like fries with that" day in day out..
But educated Ronny, please explain your statement because I cannot make any sense of it.
What does it mean?

but Pete your the one that is always questioning others intelligence, and always adding you were a journo blah blah or taking grammar far too seriously for a public forum. Pete your the one that tries to act intelligent but nitpicking others posts to spot a missing comma or capital or as you said in the previous post suggesting others do not know 'big words', that's your opinion but the feedback from lecturers as well as my results suggest otherwise...

I actually agree with what you say about degree's aren't everything and that commonsense is the most important trait to have, couldn't agree more, one aspect that is seriously lacking in todays work environment.

The main thing Ron..is don't take me too seriously. I often post things to get a 'rise'. We are all after the same thing..to see the Eels be successful and I actually enjoy reading your 'thoughts'..You are a very passionate supporter. Much the same as I was in my late teens and mid twenties. Parramatta Rugby League was MY LIFE. Probably much to the detriment of a higher education.
But if I had my time over again I would not change a thing..
I have written a book on my experiences in a little Country town - a forty year journey from a City Slicker to a Country Bumpkin. I have finished it, but haven't had it printed yet.
I will 'dig it up', re read it and make changes if necessary in the next month or so.
I didn't want to have it printed and say "Gee, I wish I hadn't said that - or I wish I had added that".. I hope to have it finished by Fathers Day. When it is done, I'll send you a copy...
Sport is supposed to be fun. It is to me anyway, but as I have posted many times before, if we all thought the same it would be a boring old world..and that is not to say anything about a boring old forum..

Pete, at least you try hard and do stuff off the ball.

That's what I'm like..and that's how I like my players to be.
Show me a bloke who chucks his bum in the corner and I'll show you a LOSER..
Not only a LOSER, but a DEAD SET LOSER, a choker who can't hack pressure, someone who goes missing when he is needed to put his hand up. Takes the first opportunity to squib it.

IF YOU THINK YOU ARE BEATEN, YOU ARE
IF YOU THINK YOU DARE NOT, YOU DON’T
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO WIN BUT YOU THINK
YOU CAN’T
IT’S ALMOST A CINCH YOU WON’T
IF YOU THINK YOU’LL LOSE ,YOU’RE LOST
FOR OUT IN THE WORLD WE FIND,
SUCCESS BEGINS WITH A FELLOW’S WILL,
ITS ALL IN THE STATE OF MIND
IF YOU THINK YOUR OUTCLASSED, YOU ARE
YOU’VE GOT TO THINK HIGH TO RISE
YOU’VE GOT TO BE SURE OF YOURSELF
BEFORE YOU CAN EVER WIN A PRIZE.
LIFE’S BATTLES DON’T ALWAYS GO TO THE
STRONGER OR THE FASTER MAN,
BUT SOONER OR LATER, THE MAN WHO WINS
IS THE MAN WHO THINKS HE CAN.

I agree that a player with all the skill and limited mental strength will not win you matches, and similarly a player with mental strength and no skill (from halfback) will not win you matches.

Timmy fit into the former, Finch the latter. They made a good combo i guess because they were able to work off each other,

Mateo has skill, but unlike Timmy can not run a team, does not have a great kicking game. We need someone in 6 who can take pressure off Finch. Whether that be keating or mahoney or mortimore it defiantly isn't Mateo even thou he has the skill to do it, he can not be counted on to keep pressure on.

If finch can feel like he doesn't have to do everything, i think he will play better but ATM finch is not up to it... he is struggling, even last week when it was even Steven up front. He didn't stand up when he needed to, lockyer did and that shows his class.

Pete if Timmy played the exact same game as finch, step for step you would have been bagging him from here to next week, but it was Finch? I ask why should a performance rating change on the player who in wearing the boots.

PS please don't tell me Timmy is old news, i know I'm making comparisons for my argument (its call examples, oh and don't bitch and moan about my English can you answer my question? It would be nice :D)

Tim Smith is and was a waste of talent in the NRL.

Finch had a quiet game, so what. Tim Smith's career wasn't quiet because he would **** everything up. Finch has probably been the only player in the whole squad that has tried every week.

Mate to say someone like Cayless or Hindmarsh has not tried every week is just offencive to our Captain and VC. Most players put in every week, but if you don't turn and and produce more often then not, I don't care how hard you try it is just not good enough.
