18-8 to Cronulla.
I hate to be so negative, but it has to be the worst Sharks-Manly game ever, more penalties and dropped ball than you'd normally see in a whole weekend.
Three penalties and a sin-bin against Stevens (one penalty was undeserved after a facial from Randall - Stevens gave it back on the next tackle to another Eagle, leading to a fight and both being sin-binned), two penalties each against Nutley and Lomu, one against Bailey and Hilder. And I reckon nearly all of them were deserved. I thought we were going to work on discipline? And McGoldrick still can't tackle! Though he did get a try with a good catch from a little kick (by Peachey I think).
To top it off, Lomu apparently has a suspected broken cheekbone after a Manly player accidentally kneed him, though the commentators said he might still get back on.
The positives are Kimmorley, who has tackled everything that's moved and shown a ton of heart, Peachey who's been good in defence and attack, and Stevens in the first 5 minutes, where he got a great flick pass away to set up Peachey's try.
We're only winning because Manly are worse... though at the rare times where we stop worrying about the referee, we play well.
The Manly player should have been sent off for that tackle on Saleh for sure, but the video ref was too gutless.
