The Parramatta Eels will welcome the newest member into the Hall of Fame at the Annual Players and Officials Reunion this coming Saturday (12 June) at Parramatta Leagues Club, commencing at 12 noon.

The inductee will join the Members of the Legends team announced in 2002, and 2003 inductees Jack Gibson and Ron Lynch.

The candidate was chosen following nominations from the original panel that sat to select positional nominees for the Legends Team in 2002.

Members of the Parramatta Eels Hall of Fame:

Ken Thornett, Neville Glover, Steve Ella, Michael Cronin, Eric Grothe, Brett Kenny, Peter Sterling, Ray Price, Dick Thornett, Peter Wynn, Dean Pay, Steven Edge, Bob O’Reilly, Jack Gibson and Ron Lynch.

Photographers are more than welcome to attend..please advise me by Midday Friday 11 June.

and considering he recent stepped down from a patron (if memory serves) position It wouldn't surprise me if Billy Rayner is the person. Australian rep in 1960, 203 1st grade games for the Eels,

I agree with Both Rayner and Johnston!! and either one of them will do me fine, however don't rule out Rushworth, Campbell or Hambley

Hambly yes,

Rushworth and Campbell did not not reach Hamblys level.

I had Barry Rushworth's autograph, as a kid, in brackets he put Intercept Specialist.

Never saw him take one intercept.

Always felt that Terry Fearnley does not get the recognition that he deserves.

But for a winger having the case of butter-fingers, or a shot at goal slicing away, or a ref that couldn't count to six, he may have been the first coach to guide us to the premiership.

But he was the one responsible for bringing a Wallaby forward, a centre from Gerringong, and a certain young halfback from Wagga ( 5 Rothmans medals within that lot ) to the Eels.
