Halves for Anzac test

Foran had an absolute blinder today. Kicking game was outstanding, he put players through holes and over for tries, he took the line on and posed questions and tackled strongly, massively put his hand up to partner Marshall for the Kiwis.

Which one of the pairing would we put to 7 ? Would probably have to be Foran I think

yeah, that was the performance of the round for me. Foran was outstanding today. Even though I think he is a bit like Marshall (ie better suited a little wider of the ruck) he was playing plenty of first receiver today so should hopefully be able to play a similar sort of role for the kiwis. Nice to have a couple of quality halves in the ranks anyway.

yea he has to be 7, got a good enough pass to get the ball to Marshall, Marshalls playing way to well to move him

6 - Marshall
7 - Foran

By the way...

3 - Steve Matai
4 - Lewis Brown???

Seriously like this guy. A few good second rowers ahead of him but we're low on centers and he impressed against the Dogs.

SKD is playing good footy, and Sau played well last season. Would love to see Brown get a run somewhere though. Matai is in great form too

Is great to be heading into a test with plenty of good options in top form

Yes Brown was very good against the Dogs but he was marking Idris who tends to go missing at times in defence. I don't see him making the team for the ANZAC test but if he maintains his form then he's a real chance for the 4 Nations at the end of the year.

Not exactly sure why we persist with this bloody ANZAC day test. We certainly don't prepare well for a one off.

f**king exhibition game mate..

serves no purpose at all except giving aussie the impression they are better than us..

shame they are too sh*t scared to hold an annual 3 game "ANZAC" series against us..

Agree.
For the Aussies the only ANZAC game they care about is the Roosters/Dragons annual clash.

Benji/Foran combo is a no-brainer.

Then we'll have the best hooker in the NRL at the moment Issac Luke.

Centres is an interesting one.
I'd probably go with SKD and Matai at the moment. It depends on Sau's form in the next few weeks I guess.

Chuck in Manu, Perrett, Bronson, Asotasi, Blair and co and we're lookin good.

I enjoy the game, we get all the lads together and go and watch it at a pub in town. Result never worries me too much mid year
