There is no doubt we missed Johnson's flair, running game and short kicking game today. He should be in the line up as long as he is fit after the bye.

To me, Seymour and Maloney are battling for a spot, and I think I'd rather Seymour. Not because I think he's great. I don't. But at least he offers some things- pretty reliable defense, organization. His work in Hohaia's try was impeccable.

Maloney on the other hand is running out of excuses. He was awful today. Awful. I think a trip to the NSW cup to remind him that he's not as good as he thinks he is might do him good.

Seymour and Johnson may work better.

There's a lot of love for Maloney on here, but I haven't been impressed with him for several weeks.

I wish we had a better option than Seymour, but I think Seymour is a better option than Maloney. In some facets, we looked much better with Seymour on the park today

Seymour can organize. Even though he made a couple of critical errors, we looked much better across the park with him directing the team.

Maloney's a good hole runner, good speed, kicks positionally well every second game, gets in the opposition's face, kicks goals. But he can't organize anything more than asking someone to run off his shoulder. He has no idea how to position a team across the paddock and no idea how to put his outside men into space. And his general passing game is average. I like his heart, but we need at least one of our halves to be able to organize the team on attack.

Seymour can organise and defend, but he talks all week about bringing experience to the side, but then drops the ball twice at crucial times, firstly on the first tackle after a penalty in the the opposition half and secondly from the kickoff after our try. However Maloney's kicking was woeful today, bring Johnson back with Seymour.

Seymour/Johnson for mine. Seymour is steady and a good organiser, Johnson may become a good organiser himself but at the moment I'd rather he have someone like Seymour beside him to to take that load and allow him to play some attacking footy. Maloney is either hopelessly out of form or playing for a release.

Forget Johnson, he's had 3 losses to his credit & Seymour had 1 loss today and that's 4 losses in a row. Sucks Ha!!!!!. It's time to give the Maloney & John combination a go. John was fantastic in the Vulcans on Saturday. His organizing of the Vulcans players was clearly visible , his kicking(long/short) was bang on & his long passes was un-believable.Now he has recovered from his injuries, the Maloney/John combination deserves a chance. Oh the Vulcans won by a mere 58 - 18. GO THE VULCANS!!!!!!

These losses wouldn't have happened with Witty/Fien/Rovelli.

And wasn't Joel Moon going to be the next big thing at 5/8th????
