Brett will probably ask for a Halal cake.

Considering where they are originally from, the country, (Kiama is kinda a country town, on the coast), Brett's probably never heard of it. A trip down to Lakemba may convince him he's gone to Saudi Arabia in only a couple of hours.

Isn't this great,

Even in our time of adversity, we still have the time and good thoughts to wish our players well, especially on their birthday(s)

The team spirit is alive and well; we'll go OK.

GO

Its "Helal". I doubt there are many Muslims in Kiama (I've been there and everyone I have seen is white/european, correct me if I'm wrong). Helal is a "blessing" the Islamic clerics give certain foods before they can be consumed by Muslims. Now that Josh is based in the Canterbury-Bankstown district, he'd know all about it.

they Bless the Animal before slitting its throat and the blood must be spilt in the ground(its a muslim tradition)

It is much more than that. Much like kosher meat, it cannot contain pork, any carnivorous animal, or any bird of prey. However, the blood has to be completely drained, as blood is tabooed. And as you said, it has to be killed while blessed.

You're making me hungry.

I could go for a ham and eagle blood-shake right now.

Hold the blessing, of course.
