Technical question for those in the know.....
Yesterday I put a member on ignore because I find their posts are a waste of time.
Today I jump on to browse through what's happening and notice a certain thread that gets regularly updated was now missing. I ended up deducing it was because the person I'd ignored started the thread in question. When I tested that and unignored that person, the thread returned.
So my question is - surely this is a glitch that can be fixed? I'd like to read the thread but not what that certain forum member posts. Yes I know I can just scroll on by but surely there's a smarter solution considering it's a very popular ongoing thread......

I think you will need to suck it up and just ignore his posts..
Don't think anyone is going to spend time/money into that"Glitch" as it really doesnt impact the site or anyone besides maybe you and thats it..

Well it actually does impact the way the site works for individual users. Someone else above has already commented with the same gripe. As it turns out we're talking about the same thread. That's my point. Sometimes a thread is started by someone like the person I wanted to ignore and then becomes a thread that everyone joins in on and it actually becomes (mostly) worthwhile reading. Now it disappears because I choose to ignore the person who started it. It's a bit silly, especially when it's the most popular thread on this message board.
And hey think of my eyes - my poor eyes can only roll so many times reading that guy's posts before they're going to fall out!!

Yeah i get it but does it trigger you that much, like can't you just ignore it when you see he has written a post or is it like a car crash you can't turn away...
