just wondering if any1 can htink of any winger that has ever captained n a rugby league side as i can not think of any. but maybe i am wrong. maybe 2006 is the year it happens i dunno

Warren Boland for Wests in the early 80's.

Lote Tuqiri captained Fiji for a while didn't he? Although I think he played fullback for them.

Chris Anderson captained the Bulldogs 83-84. Ziggy Niszczot was Souths captain in the early 80's. Clive Sullivan captained GB to a world cup win in 1972.

No winger should ever captain a footy team.

You need to be amongst the action, barking orders, inspiring and encouraging other players, chatting to the ref etc. You can not do that from the wing !
