Whats happened to all the the little tanty's that have been thrown over the past few months?

Have they stopped?

You happy now?

We signed a good outside back
We signed a good forward
We signed a potentially very good half back.

It just shows that some of us have no faith, no committmnet and no understanding of how and what the Wests Tigers are on about.

Which is youth..

Its a no brainer that you have to resort back to your strengths after winning a comp and rebuild...which the Tigers are doing.

But know there will always be some gooses or people with little idea think they know all.

Guess what...you know jack sh*t.

considering how many better players than those we signed, were on the market and available to sign, I think people have a right to complain.

We have managed to sign a few decent signings, nothing ground breaking.

I fail to believe the Head signing was pre-meditated, that was fluke me thinks.

We didnt have to fight anyone else for the three signatures, yes they were handy signings but I will reserve my judgment till about round 8. I still cant see us causing too many upsets against the top six or so teams. Although things do look a lot better than a month ago

TBH i think your recent purchases are bloody ordinary, just my opinion. That guy from Penrith is just average, a real turnstile imo. Head was last good in 2005.....since then he has had injuries and couldn't even hold a spot in firsts this and last year with the Dragons......if anything Payne is your best buy but you released a better player imo to get him?

Anyway guys good luck, hope you guys get your halves sorted out and injuries dont occur to Benji again, such a great player.

Don`t worry about past first graders or new recruits, it`s the emergence of the young up and comers that`s the key to ours and every other teams chances in `2008. Every year atleast 1 or 2 young up and comers that have next to no prior first grade experience emerge and become a force in the team that ends up winning the GF, `2008 will be no different, our top 25 is ok and looks capable, but we need one or two of our under 20`s to emerge and provide the missing link. I believe we really need a crash tackling centre who strikes a bit of fear into the opposition. That would help cover the defensive deficiencies of both Benj and Matt Head.

No faith, no committment and No understanding? Sounds like The Tigers gameplan the last 8 weeks of the regular season. How any Tiger supporter in their right mind can still not be fuming from the disgraceful debacle with a fully fit squad at the end of the season shows the depths of mediocrity accepted at this club.

If you want to big up selection policy and youth remember that Sheens let one of our best young player Ben Jeffrey rot all season when underperforming seasoned rubbish like Fitzhenry, Morris and co were putting in stinker after stinker

* The club has been unable to retain players in the Prime of their careers in Prince, Laffranchi, Whaturia and Richards
* the club has won 21 from 48 games since winning the grand final and failed to qualify for the playoffs in both 2006 and 2007
* the club has recruited the likes of John Morris, Peter Lewis, Sam Harris, Jamall Lolesi to fill the ranks

Like Super Coach said, we didn't have to argue with anyone to get these 3 signings. Head is a very worthwhile risk although Sheens said "This has come out of the blue" I would of thought by now the need to get a proper halfback would of smacked him in the face after his initial substandard signing failed to deliver the goods.

Matt Head, Corey Payne and Nick Youngquest are going to take this team to glory, and make us an unbeatable force.

Yes, they are decent players, but I wouldn't be getting to chuffed about the upcoming season, a lot of work has to be done if we are going to make the 8.

First of all thanks for me having a little rant.

I am not a big poster but a big reader and I love all Tigers supporters in their own way.

We are one because we have all been through many a tough year.

Poeple can be as criticle as they want but you have to keep things in perspective and I reckon people just speak form their a*rs to make themselves feel heard.

Prince, Laffrianchi and Richards are all unique and I think it would be fair to say that if it wasn't for the Titans we would still have a thosetwo..Richards went for the cash.

Tigers will never spend up big on name players and if people don't know that by now they never will.

Sure our player roster mighten be the best but it will always have a dig

I think we have done a pretty good job this off season.

But I

Again, i come back to how the hell you guys let scott prince leave. Imo when he is fit and can play a full season, he is a better player than thurston.

I wouldn't say that and I can handle the fact we could really do nothing to keep Prince in Sydney as he was a tad pussywhipped and had to run off back to Qld when wifey started whingeing about hating Sydney (given penriff is as sydney as ipswich is brisbane). What was unforgivable was replacing a very good instinctive, natural half and footballer with a f**king spastic utility who'd not played at halfback once in his life whilst there were many other (and better) options available

Because our club isn't situated in Queensland:crazy:

well if prince had've hung around til 2009, I'm sure the Gold Coast would've one of the Tigers home grounds, as well as ANZ stadium and a cow paddock next to the Barcoo River.

Ahmen to that !

Tim Sheens is a legend and obviously has the Tigers best interests at heart, he knows what he is doing and he has proved that time and time again.... bring on 2008 !

So what has changed with the pack of forwards that rolled over and died in 2007. Payne must be State of orgon material if he going to turn them around come 2008

I`ve got to agree with super_coach in this regard. I`m optimistic that our forwards can aim up as i`m hoping KG can become a little more aggressive more often, i`m hoping Ben Te`o can really go from strength to strength and become a regular go to man, i`m hoping the pack as a whole plays with more heart and more aggression and i`m hoping a aplayer or two from outside the core who played first grade in `2007 will make big strides and be the type of player(s) that can lift the entire pack.
Based on `2007`s performances you`d give us next to no hope again for `2008, but i`m hoping that the players have had this off season to have a long hard think about their efforts and will head into `2008 hungry to amend the failures of the past two seasons.
In my opinion we certainly have the talent, it`s just the hunger that leads to consistent aggressive performances that has been missing !!!
