Hawk fans having a shocker!

All clubs have tool supporters in their ranks, but even allowing for that, there's been a good number of Hawk faithful carrying on like complete knob jockeys this week.

I can't believe the number of tragics who look back wistfully at last year's game and wax lyrical about "beating up on the Bombers", and how wonderful it was, and how great we were for doing it, and how nice it would be to do it again??!!

FFS... WE LOST THE GAME BY 74 POINTS!!!!!!!

All that matters is winning on the scoreboard; everything is else irrelevant!!!

If any more such nonsense arises on Sunday and we get belted again, there'll be no player glorification being heard from me that's for sure!
Its a stern test for the Hawk players who had better show some discipline.

Talk, how cheap is it?

All too inexpensive when you're 8-0 down since 1997, so best to say nothing until the team shows it can walk the walk methinks!

How embarrassing

I donno,

You're shit.... Why not give the cheating scum some of their own medicine back in the process of getting belted?

No one in football would be sad to see it I am sure. I know I certainly wouldn't be.... Have their dog of a coach come out whinging again about how rough those terrible Hawthorn players were on his pansies :D

lol ;-)

To reiterate:

Nothing short of a 1 point win will suffice!

I'd rather get beaten-up on, but win the game rather than the reverse...

Like I care about that ;-)

and lloyd will re-break his arm (if he even plays.. could be another sheedy trick)

Hawthorn tend to just start fights when there down. That game against essendon is one example, last week against richmond, it did help a little bit last week the hawks kicked some quick goals. But with everything said and done, the class team will always get over the top.

Im sure if i was a hawks supporter i'ld rather see the aggression be shown going for the ball. Not at the other teams players. I would also rather see a WIN rather than a LOSS and 2 - 3 minutes of a punch up. Thats whats boxing is for.

Er, no.

Essendon were at least as much to blame for the brawl last year as the Hawthorn side was.

There was bugger all out of the ordinary to come out of last week's game, and certainly nothing that could be lumbered entirely on the one side. Your comments here are absolute tosh!

Hawthorn has no greater record of starting fights when they're down than any other side.

Please try to keep your bias under control.

This, on the other hand, I agree with entirely.

I can only assume you weren't at the ground last week based on this statement?

A Richmond player came from the clouds and completely took the head off of a Hawthorn player.... well off the ball.

THAT was the reason the Hawthorn player came charging at the Richmond player...

Craig,

Given that there were:

a) no reports laid; and

b) no supporters baying for reports to be laid.

can I assume that it was all just rough & tumble stuff that you'd expect from an elite level football match.

Given some of the things they report people for these days, its hard to imagine that there was anything more than posturingwith a bit of loose contact going on?

Now, bearing in mind that I was watching from standing room behind the goals in the Southern & haven't watched a replay, although it was at our end ... I was genuinely suprised a video report wasn't laid against the Richmond player in question (I think Cogs, but a little hard to tell these days from the stands (I love the sash but the white numbers  ) lol).

I was more just pointing out though that there was a reason the Hawk players picked a fight. The player came charging about 5 seconds have he got up from being clobbered... Too coincidental for mine mate. lol
