Ease up indeed... what part of "I just hope he doesn't play if he's not 100%" do people take negatively? I reckon if I posted the same post with my other username, no one would have batted an eyeball....

Don't even go there Bart.

I do seriously want to know cgge's opinion about Hayne being a chance to line up against the Panthers, seeing as he felt the need to post an emoticon in the thread.... I'll read anyone's opinion on an issue, and respect them for contributing one.

I just hope they (coaching staff) or Hayne himself doesn't rush him back from this injury unless he is 100%.

You're just no good to your team playing 15mins of an 80min game, and missing the next one or several as a result. Hopefully lessons have been learned....

Most players in the NRL carry one or more injuries into each game. It's just a matter of how bad the injury is.

Players that won't play unless they're 100% are really no use to professional clubs. That's why so many players wear strapping and get needled up before games.

If they're lucky they can use the off season to get over their injuries.

:? Geez, just the basic one about what happens when your star player returns from injury and the same suspect body part results in him going down and off untouched after 15 mins.

Kearney played nearly 300 first grade games. I think he would've had some experience of himself and his teammates playing with injuries, and the risks associated with getting reinjured.

Or did his rugby league experience only start in 2011?

rumour from bartmans twitter:

bartman went around and squeezed Hayne's knee until he cried - hence ruled out for tonight.

Not sure if it's true - but the pics on his facebook page seem to back it up?

Yes. I think, no matter what decision Steven Kearney makes, he`s always right. Any coach for that matter - they all know more than I do, and they`re paid to make the big decisions. That`s why I`m not a rugby league coach, and they are (rugby league coaches). They`re all pretty incredible. All that knowledge.

That's the thing mate - just about everyone in the game knows just about everything there is to know.

And because players and coaches are so reluctant to educate the public (the media anyway), that body of knowledge is degrees vaster than what the slobs in the stands know about the game.

So professional coaches certainly do make mistakes. But you and I wouldn't f**king know about it until well after the fact.
