Said it once before. Hayne for all his faults still has more Dally M's than Kent has played first grade games.

Yes Kent is an atomic f**kwit but I don't see what this has to do with anything.

Some of the best journos and coaches have never reached any great heights in their playing careers.

Some of the best players ever are some of the dumbest merkins currently in the media - refer Meninga and Fittler.

I know it has nothing to do with anything but it's a great stat and I know he hates people talking about his literal 2 second career in first grade.

So, @Avenger, you hear a rumour that Hayne's asking about coming back and all of a sudden you're sweet on him again? jeez...

Also, is that your "scoop"? That he made an enquiry about coming back and you're all "done deal, Hayne back to Eels in 2018"... You don't work for the telegraph do you?

I'll say though, If he comes back, it'll set us back 3 years, guaranteed. They guy might be a great player, there's no denying that, but he's no good for this club. and I highly doubt that BA would even entertain the idea of having him back.

I just don't think we will do any good with Hayne here at the Eels.

And Don't piss me off or I'll change my vote back to no again and piss off the rainbow lefty warriors

Read my post, I didn't say you made anything up, I'm saying your "scoop" is worth shit. There's a big difference.

Vote how you want, I'm not gonna cry if you vote no.

They had a vote on the Matty Johns show last night and 83% voters said they didn't want Hayne at their club. Just shows how effective his bad attitude and the smear campaign against Hayne is.

I have faith in BA. He coached Hayne to a Dally M. BA don't take shit and if BA wants him i would not argue with him and if BA wants him then he won't be setting the club back 3 years at all.

Like i have already said, Hayne will play his best football again under us, he loves the club despite what anyone thinks.

I don't care either way, i believe in BA and will support him. He has won us 15 games this year with a squad that is not as good as many others in the top 8 imo.

Why is it worth shit? I love reading what other people find out and rumours are the best part of the forum. Why would mine be any different? Better than anything you have contributed.
Ok look, don't get your panties in a bunch, I know you highly value being an "in the know" type of guy, so you get a little salty when it's called into question.

I'm saying it's worth shit because the "scoop" you originally posted was that there would be an announcement about signing him at the end of the season, and you were all tight lipped on the details, then it comes out that all your news was was that an inquiry had come in about Hayne returning, nothing about him having signed, just that a question had been asked.

So, you didn't exactly make it up, I'm sure you did hear what you heard, but you embellished the f*ck out of what you heard for the sake of sensationalism. had you passed on that it was only an inquiry, no one would have made a big deal about it.

That's why it isn't worth shit. I'm sure player managers (or consultants) call clubs every day to price test and gauge interest, that in itself is no big deal.

And as for your little shot about my contributions to the forum, I've never claimed to be "in the know" or in any way connected to the club, so eat a dick on that one buddy.

If we did take him back I am confident that BA would make sure it is on his terms. He would ride Hayne like Trevor the Horse.
This is what worries me.

I'm sure of this too, BA is a hard arse that won't take shit, but I wonder if Hayne's ego will handle that, and maybe around June 2018 we'll start reading about unrest in the sheds, BA's lost the playing group, management considering BA's position at the eels, and like that.

It probably wouldn't happen but I fear that's a possibility. We are on a good wicket right now, why tempt fate by bringing in a potential shit storm? It's just not something we need right now.
