Whether he ends up back at Parra or not, I think Bulldog Ritchie is right on the money - his heart will always be with Parra. No doubt he took the club for granted and expected to be welcomed back with open arms after his NFL adventure, but reality bites and I'd say he realises that now.

If he ends up at a club other than Parra next year and the year after, he'll be going through the motions much like he has so far for the Titans IMO. The only chance, if there's any chance at all, that we will get to see him play anywhere near his best ever again would be if he was in an Eels jersey - I truly believe that.

In saying all of that, I don't give a tinker's cuss where he ends up...

For the right price, I would say yes. He can play winger / centre / FB / 5/8 so gives us plenty of cover. Also provides us with a replacement with x-factor to replace Semi.

BA has shown he won't take shit from anyone (see Foran).

Probably depends on whether Hayne would accept the figure BA values him at.

If my opinion he is probably worth $500k or so. However if Hayne is smart signing a cheap deal with the eels for 2 years and regaining some form/respect could pay off in retirement.
I was thinking $450k on the books

BA is one of the few coaches that could actually challenge Hayne and get the best out of him.
Hayne looked like he is taking things a lot more serious with Fiji. I know it is against inferior opposition, but we are talking about attitude. Attitude is always an issue, hence why he is still an NSW caliber player unable to unleash at the Titans for a number of reasons, but I'm sure discontent is one of them. At least his warming back up season is over and done with.

Hayne is still young compared to other players that are still playing origin, there is still time to turn it around.

I’m torn over this, part of me doesn’t want him back after they way he treated the club and his attitude.

But on the other hand it would be worth it just for Bart’s meltdown.

“Honestly, I think he’s let the Titans down,” Meninga said.

“He hasn’t played well enough to do that. I think he needs to make sure that he stays at the club and plays the best he possibly can for them.

“They’re the ones who invested in him and he hasn’t invested back in the club.”

It’s been a tumultuous 12 months for Hayne on the Glitter Strip.

A feud between player and former coach Neil Henry ended with the mentor being sacked.

Meninga said the result of that made Thursday’s news even harder to swallow.

“Yeah, I agree with that. I think that’s pretty ordinary what happened there. That’s just my thoughts,” he said.

I said last season that his heart was just not there with the Titans. He tried hard, but it was clear he did not really like being there.

He would be a different player with us I am sure of it. You never lose ability. He is not young any more so he is not as sharp as before, but he still all class. He wont be 2009 Hayne but he will still be a damn useful player.

I wouldn't mind if he came back. I wouldn't mind if he didn't either.

Which we will never get to see. Damn you mods - bring him back if this happens.
