Av, you change your "gut feel" every second day! Even if I'm proven wrong, at least I've been consistent over the past two years.

But if Hayne signs to come back, I'll start a thread where everyone can lay the boot into me over the off season. :D
Do we really need a new thread for that???:eek::eek:

lol really Bart?? An opinion piece from a QLDer??? Of course they wouldn't want back the only NSWelshmen who they have feared since Joey.

The game is as shit and as boring as i can remember, the Bronco's are still in the top 8 and are an absolute rabble. You have plodders like St George and the Tigers who are still top 8 chances. Canberra are sitting in the top 4 and can't defend for more then 20mins, wankers like Malone were happy to have SBW back an told then world how great it was because he was never a threat to their precious origin dynasty........

I doubt he would of had a problem with Falonk coming back and all the media interest it would bring.

Do you actually know what Malone's view of SBW and Folau coming back was?

I do remember Malone all weak at the Knees when he thought Falonk was returning, why wouldn't he??? He's a QLDer and origin is all these dribblers care about.

Most Bronco fans i know are already on the Cowboys bandwagon. QLD passion right there.

Can't remember his thoughts on SBW but i know he didn't write an article saying the game didn't need him like he has with Hayne.

I doubt BA is silly enough to pay big money for Hayne, he hasn't seemed over fussed about whether he comes back or not..
Unfortunately once we get a Footy CEO in place, it may not be BA's choice... Footy CEO taking into account peripheral aspects such as marketing clout, media/brand opportunities etc, when working out what a suitable "value" to offer Hayne might be.

I remember the coach at the time was not involved at all in the Club admin's push to sign Quade Cooper... presumably for similar (mostly off-field) reasons?

No wonder Hayne didn't have enough time to train for his new 49ers coach, or to make the Fiji 7s side... he always seems to be doing f**king media, even for people just starting out in the media industry!

Hayne almost made move

English side Leigh claim they came ‘very close’ to signing superstar fullback Jarryd Hayne on a short-term deal.

The 28-year-old ex-NSW and Parramatta fullback is currently without a job following stints in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and in rugby sevens with Fiji, where he failed to make the cut for the island nation’s Olympic team.

Hayne’s former Parramatta teammates Fuifui Moimoi and Reni Maitua play for the Centurions with a short-term move to England a play to assist them in their Super 8s qualifiers.

The talks with hayne’s agent Wayne Beavis ultimately came to nothing but Jukes maintained his club did almost pull off the biggest signing in the club’s history.

“We came close. Our owner spoke to him and did a lot of work with his agent,” coach Neil Jukes told the English press.

“It was very close. The deadline for this year has gone and the big pull was obviously Reni, a good friend of his who retires this year.

“It just shows how far we’ve come as a club when we get linked with players like that. It would have been very similar I imagine to what Warrington did with Andrew Johns. He probably paid for himself with the bums on seats.”

Hayne appears to be just a gun for hire ($$$).

Or he was thinking about having a few games with his mates as a warm-up to next season, but hey whatever you can use to put a negative spin on things

Wow I bet the NRL have helped them with this, this is the sad state of affairs that the game and our club are in. It's a complete joke if it has signed with the Titans.
We have a offer ready to present to him this week and he has off and singed elsewhere before even seeing our offer.
Just shows it was never about the team it was only about the player.
You can bet his is getting extras under the table from the NRL.
