E.g. that the jury has asked for/been granted more time to deliberate, has been sent home for the weekend before reconvening to continue deliberation on Monday - or maybe even an outside chance of an agreed verdict?

So probably not even close to going through everything they've heard and reaching possible agreement yet?

We have no way of knowing whether the majority are thinking Hayne is guilty with a few thinking he is innocent, or the other way around.

If they can't reach a verdict - which looks increasingly likely - then it falls to the prosecution/DPP to decide whether to pursue in front of another jury... probably with reference to concerns about the continued impact of prolonged trials on the alleged victim (and even if it doesn't feature in the prosecution decision, let's be honest there is also impact on the accused).

If another re-trial is not pursued, it doesn't mean that Hayne has been found innocent (or that he is guilty), but - depending on the wishes of the alleged victim to keep going through this to pursue some result - Hayne could be still be facing a civil trial with a lower burden of proof.
