What? Moving the goalposts or being fat middle aged has beens? There are plenty of experts on that in this place.
Of course. Raises hand. What? Moving the goalposts or being fat middle aged has beens?
(it's both, isn't it?)
things I've hea9rd about Brad Arthur from credible sources - especially as a younger fella. Now that is a fella that has always been a scu9mbag since high school. Noth9ing necessarily against the law mind you. At least back then now it might be.I think he's always been a scumbag, but that's not against the law.
Your kidding me Mannits been a team effort as the goal posts keep moving
I'm sure there's a lot about you and anyone else on here that could be filed under the 'scumbag' tag.things I've hea9rd about Brad Arthur from credible sources - especially as a younger fella. Agreed. First grade seems unlikely but he could for example have a few years in the Fiji team or go and dominate super league. His kicking and ball skills alone could be a big asset.I'd love to see him get into shape and play some good footy even if it's in reserve grade. First grade recall would be epic but very unlikely
Despite what has happened in the past still one of my favourite eels players of all time.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.....let's leave it at that
"My greatest asset was the mental side of my game"
"My greatest asset was the mental side of my game"
I suggest very few people outside of The Plane himself have that view.
I don't think that's the 'mental side of [the] game' he was talking about when he discussed being 'on' or 'off'. Yes he had good instincts, but the thing he was talking about was fluctuations in confidence and drive, which to me describes Hayne's weakness.Jarryd's footy smarts were are large part of why he was so brilliant.
Agree. But Hayne was putting his admittance and awareness of those mental fluctuations down as a strength - Jarryd should just stop speaking, and let his form for Wenty do the talking.I don't think that's the 'mental side of [the] game' he was talking about when he discussed being 'on' or 'off'. Agreed, his greatest asset was he was the best athlete the game has ever seen probably."My greatest asset was the mental side of my game"

Hayne's probably only weakness was that he was not a good leader in the modern sports sense (as in the nerd Cooper Cronk/Justin Langer type that I want to bitch slap like Simon Katich would), which when you are the best player on the team by miles, is a SIGNIFICANT negative for a team.I don't think that's the 'mental side of [the] game' he was talking about when he discussed being 'on' or 'off'.
