We have the two best locks in the business Snoop, Gallen & Bird.
Johnston is the a good defensive lock but in attack he is a tackle bag.

We need speed in our backline and a player to lead them. Kimmorley brings us nothing.

I think Luke lewis might be an astute purchase if he could be enticed away from the panthers.

Of course Tuopou would be awesome

it costs in excess of $10m to run a football team

do you seriously think they would fall short on the cap payments?

Do you serioulsy think that squad of ours costs $4million. No way.

Well despite what most of you people think of the decision, the club is chasing Hayne, and chasing him HARD. Ricky has been ruing our lack of 'finesse' or 'x factor' in our backline. You do not find this finesse in Premier League.

For what its worth, I say bring it on.

Sign more Premier league players? Geez.

Sam i'm not doubting the fact we're in need of recruiting a game breaker i just personally don't think Hayne is the answer. We need someone closer to the action who dominates games on a consistent basis. i.e Thurston, Inglis. But a fullback/winger does not have enough control over a game. Considering Kearney's attacking ability is just as fluent as that of Hayne's i don't see why we would fork out top dollar for someone to sit on the wing. Top dollar goes to the Joey Johns, the Lockyers and the Thurstons. I don't want to see the Shark's being sucked into the bidding war for a player who's not necessarily gonna fit into the structure of our club. I mean is any wing/three quarter gonna go that well without a decent halves pairing inside him?

You are right Taniwha but we need both. Game breaker halves and potent attack in the backs. Hayne would be one part of the puzzle and he certainly plays alright under Smith and Finch who are not exactly great. Go hard after him Mr Zappa!

answering a queston with a question......

how much do you thnk we are payng on our cap?

show what you know that the coaching staff dont sam

maybe also this bunch of so called 'blokes' that reside on a weekly basis at the club will wake the hell up and see where THEY fail and not throw darts at everything thing else they can think of other than the grand poo bar

unfortunately accountability does not stop there - we the members (some excluded) are the biggest hypocrits of all. We sit back and whinge but do nothing about it when the power sits in our hands on a bi-ennial [however you spell it]occassion

better yet, lets have more forum nights at the club and be mislead - better yet why not have peter powers up the front on the next forum night, it will be no different

FFS - i thought simmons and noddy were good for a laugh - but somethings just go beyond a joke

i like this year how they have brought forward the season seats/tickets - they are really getting deperate now arn't they.....do they really need to know that far in advance how they are off financially next year

they will bite the hand that feeds them one too many times and the beloved team we all follow will be farked good and properly

mr zappia has had a few concerning words during his short tenure thus far - amusing stuff and he should be careful who he speaks too as some people cant keep their gob shut

Even if we get Hayne he still won't be here until '09. We got '08 to get through first and with Isaac De Gois, Luke Douglas, Ben Pomeroy and Jacob Selmes off contract i'd like to see them all signed up long term first before we start dishing out money to a player who i believe will sign for in excess of 350k a season. If Kearney can get a interchange rotation happening with DeGois then im all for Hayne.
