He is asking us for a lead for a major sponsor, the bloke has no idea OMG, With the new development happening at the Club side what about Woolworths or ALDI, how about asking the developer for a sponsorship, how about organizing a luncheons with local Businesses, see what we come up with are we that cheap we can't even do corporate lunches anymore.

OMG he asks if anyone has a lead for major sponsors to please contact him and he doesn’t even leave his email address.

Yes we had distractions in the off season but to have a total blank canvas on our jersey is piss poor. Was the office just a ghost town over the summer holidays? Sponsorship is paramount in this game or even just sport in general. Sure some companies would be not opening their door after some club related headlines, but your job is to sell the product. Most deadwood is gone from the club and that should be his opening line. The bloke wants fans to point him in the right direction for sponsorship! Is he f**king all there? That’s his friggen job/responsibility! Unbelievable.

I’m not a massive Barry fan but it probably isn’t made any easier the fact this salary cap shit still isn’t sorted. I blame the NRL and that f**kwit Greenburg for our lack of sponsors at the moment more than I blame Barry.

I called him out long ago when naive people on this forum just as naive as him backed him and his friggin honesty program. ( Yeah Greenberg repaid the honesty with interest!! Lol)

To not even have a lead at this point in time is just ridiculous!!! He’s over his head and this appointment smells from the bad old days when people got hired for the wrong reasons.

Any other “good initiatives” in his email mean shyte for the future of our Club if we don’t get sponsorship soon. Our Club will not survive without it.

If he has been placed there for a reason then the NRL are an absolute bunch of gutless turds. If you want to revoke the license be strong enough (for once) to just do it and face the wrath, dont make it out due to our incompetance, we are good enough at that ourselves.

Firstly it's embarrassing asking fans to email possible sponsor contacts.Smacks of rank amateurism.

However:-
the sh*t that has been running around in the offseason starting with Hayne and ending up with De Belin ,has had one hell of an impact on those clubs seeking sponsorship in any shape or form.

The f*ckwit antics at the sailing club,if any sponsors were in the pipeline for the Sharks(and we don't know if that be the case) would have been off-putting.

When you get people like Solly at Souths stating the incidents have cost the game $10.5m in sponsorship overall, based on some methodology on stature, goodwill, marketability of the game, even Luigi the Unbelievable would be pushing the dark stuff up the Wanda sandhill, to secure it

The Storm's Bart Campbell has stated it is having a huge impact on the game ,from a public's perspective, which is leaning toward the negative;
Quite a few of the clubs and the NRL have had to placate current sponsors, to keep them on board.The old get out clause still hovers.
Remember the Dogs after the Coffs Harbour allegations, they couldn't get a sponsor for a couple years for love or money.

When it comes to bad timing, tripping over our feet, the Basil Fawlty of sporting clubs,we are the undisputed champs.
How we continue to survive ,many be the secret of eternal life.
But this death of a thousand cuts ,is crapping this ole fella.
