hehehe, i was watching on Fox, screaming at the TV, good win, but honestly how bad are the pink androtops, that penalty count wasn't warranted.

But great to get the win

Perry played the first 50 mins, King came back on and replaced him, first touch he dropped it.

Perry was awesome tonight.

I actually think their last 20mins has a lot to do with their first 40. The intensity they are starting their matches with is taking its toll late in the game.

They have to learn to pace themselves. Cronk's two tries were just one out runs, close to the line against tired defence. They were spent and can thank Smith for his errors, as the Storm were very close to snatching it.

Still, that's another 2 points in the bank and up to third on the ladder.

Was a brilliant 1st half and brilliant 2nd half for contrasting reasons. Would have been disappointed but proud with a loss. Should have probably had at least 1 more try in the first half if the refs made the right calls on a few occassions. As has been said the first half intensity is taking it out of them. Kite back next week will be a big factor in negating that.

Foran is amazing, didn't expect him to be playing like this for another 6 weeks at least, anyone who watched him in 20's knows he will only get better. NZ are going to have the best halves in the world soon with him and Marshall partnering up.

Hats off to the Manly side.

That was a well coached win last night.

And you could see how hard both sets of players were hurting in trying to keep the pace.

Young guns close to sticking with Sea Eagles

WITH boom five-eighth Kieran Foran close to finalising his future at Manly, rookie fullback Ben Farrar has declared his desire to remain at the club beyond this season.
Farrar, the nephew of former Canterbury great Andrew Farrar, starred in Monday night's 18-16 defeat of Melbourne and said yesterday he was beginning to relish the opportunity to deputise for injured international Brett Stewart, despite having little experience in the custodian role.
''I played there a little bit in juniors but not a lot, so it's a bit different to what I am used,'' Farrar said. ''I suppose knowing that Brett is not going to be back for the rest of the season, I've got to try and get my head around the role and try to improve each week and I am enjoying it at the moment.
''Brett obviously knows the position inside out and he's been giving me little tips here and there. He's been really good to me and a big help.''
With Stewart due to return from his knee injury next season, Farrar will have to find another position but the 23-year-old Newcastle junior said he would be happy to do so at Manly.
After re-signing Jamie Lyon and Anthony Watmough, retaining Foran has been the club's priority and the 19-year-old Kiwis playmaker said yesterday he had all but agreed to a new deal.
''Hopefully things we will be wrapped up soon and I can just get on with it,'' Foran said. ''I'm happy with where I am, I want to stay, and looks like I will be able to do so.''
Farrar said he also hoped to re-sign. ''I am off contract at the end of the year but I would love to stay,'' he said. ''It is a great club and they have looked after me so this is first and foremost where I want to stay.''
After recording their fourth consecutive win, the Sea Eagles are now third on the premiership ladder, and Foran said they had taken a lot of confidence from becoming the first team to inflict back-to-back defeats on Melbourne in four years.
''It was massive to go down there and get the two points, especially with them coming off the loss to the Titans last week,'' he said. ''We just knew we had to turn up. We had spoken about it all week and we knew that in order to beat them we had to go out there and physically bash them and I think our boys did that. That was the bottom line, I think we just ran harder and tackled harder than they did.''
Foran and fellow Kiwi Steve Matai met New Zealand coach Stephen Kearney, the Storm assistant, after the match and Foran said he was hopeful of partnering Benji Marshall in the halves for the May 7 Test against Australia in Melbourne.
''We talked to him outside the sheds, me and Steve caught up with him and had a bit of a chat with him,'' Foran said. ''But I've just got to make sure that I am playing well and hopefully that other stuff will take care of itself.''

Foran confirmed he was staying again on 2UE with Gibbsy and Brandy, everything sorted, just waiting for the paperwork to be sorted and he will be signing.

I like the way they are coming out with intensity. I don't know whether we can keep it up for the whole season but if we keep playing like that then we'll be able to do it for 80 by the end of the season. It's a big improvement from last year when we looked completely disinterested.

I really like the improvement we've got left as well. Hodkinson has only played five games so he'll improve on anything he does now, and Tony Williams and Foran as still only around 10 games. It's a very exciting year.

i dragged myself down to brookie despite having to get up for work at 1:30am the next day for that? f**k me, this inability to finish good teams off is fast looking like becoming a mental hurdle. needs to be sorted out pronto.

and since when did farrer become afraid of the bomb? he'd looked pretty solid the last 5 weeks.
