the fact is, our team lacks heart. who is the player they look to for guidance , for motivation, the player who leads by example and busts his guts each and every tackle and hit up for our club, the player who by sheer determination and refusal to accept defeat as being " ok" embarrasses players of greater talent or size into stepping up a gear also?????

ET should give these guys a blast at training. As a captain he wouldn't tolerate such ill disciplined nonsense on the field. Kimmorley doesn't seem forceful enough to tell his senior players off when they are playing like gooses. There aren't any leadership options, outside Peach and Kimmorley. Stevo, has had a go and he is definately not the answer. Deano, was always a bit too fiery, to be captain in my opinion. His head sometimes ruled common sense when he was dealing with referees.

I don't doubt any of these guys commitment & effort.
But last night, through very good play by Souths, they got 7 sets on our line & bumped our tackle count up to 100 very quickly.
After the sets on the line, you could see all the players wide mouthed & frothing.
BK could not even talk to the ref he was gasping so hard at one point.

you miss the point schooner, it's not about making him skipper, but millersnose best summed it up, motivation,inspiration, clubmanship and pride in the jumper.

you cannot honestly say dean treister was what stopped us winning a premiership during his tenure. that is like saying we will not have mat rogers back if he wants to play because " premierships with rogers = 0" ! our lack of a premiership probably can be attributed to our lack of halfback during years of havinf a semi final side in every other jumper besides number 7.

john lang + pour 199 team + brett kimmorley or stacey jones = premiership.

good point, although i think i can be very confident in saying that personally there are no issues between the two players. obviously by association , noddys mateship with opes, there is an issue, but that goes for greg pierce, theo burgess, steve rogers, plus some players still in first grade at the club that do not need to be named.

those people all work and play with noddy and there are genuinely no problems.

i think our best chance is one matt hilder, but he is a year away from doing so, hes still too quiet .

everyone else is noddys bitch out there and doesnt speak up , too afraid to rip and tear into it for fear of not doing what noddy says. how many times last night did you see a winger pick up a ball and go to return it, and have noddy pointing and yelling at the player which way to go ? every time! he dominates and is a control freak and the other players are too young and too afraid to step up.
