Hi guys,
From a Panthers fan, boy, that was a tough loss. A game that should have been put away (just like Panthers against the Dogs last week).
Just a couple of points - Jarrad Hayne's intercept try. If the rules are the same as what was mandated a year or two back, the defence MUST have both feet behind the try line, otherwise, they are offside. The majority of the Eels had one foot back, one in front. So, to the letter of the law, should have been a penalty to you guys.
The Carney "no try" as he was ruled short. I could not see any evidance that it was definately a "no try" (ie I could not tell by the tape that he was definately short), so could have been a try.
You guys play excellent in some patches, but as in the Tigers game and Eels game, you have lacked the killer instinct.
Good luck for the rest of the season and my money is on Campese for Dally M (boy I wish Penrith signed him up a few seasons ago when he was out of a contract...)
