Help with a song title?

I'm trying to figure out what the song I am thinking of is, it is absolutely killing me.

I heard it on triple M last night on Ugly Phils show just after 7pm.

It is a rock song that has an 80s feel to it. The lyrics are a bit muffled but it SOUNDED like (google is no help) the singer kept saying 'hold on baby' or 'come on baby' and may have said the phrase 'we have to hold on baby'.

The best way i can describe the singer is Bruce Springsteen or John Mccaferty style, very deep, low voice almost as if stallone is singing.

I think ive heard it before so it could be an old 80s hit.

Thanks for your suggestion however the song i'm looking for doesnt sound anything like that.

A similar song in my mind in terms of voice and pacing is 'hearts on fire' from Rocky 4.

They did Eddie and the Cruisers soundtrack to the movie. I loved that movie as a kid. Geez that On the dark side song is rubbish now but I can see why my 12yr old self may have liked it.
