And so what if there's no official complaints, does that mean nothing happened? You sound like the worst of the Bulldogs supporters last year when they insisted that the player were proven innocent because no charges were laid. Yes, spin.

That's just wrong nqboy. You're assuming that something happened based purely on heresay. The police have not received any complaints. The club has not received any complaints. Yet, you'd rather believe what someone without any stake in the matter has said.

Nobody expects them to be perfect, but *edit*, or whatever they did, is simply idiotic.
A career as a gossip jurno beckons.

... Or a spell-checker. It's 'journo', short for journalist

Anyway, it may well be speculation to a certain extent but one player has been sacked and 11 others fined a hefty amount. I'm sure it wasn't merely for breaking curfew. More importantly, the problem here is not so much what they did or didn't do which as many of you say may well be of a minor nature, but to even put yourself in that situation IN THE CURRENT CLIMATE is so far beyond any form of intelligent life ... I don't even know how to describe the stupidity of this act.

But of course you're right. perhaps Hages should have tied a piece of string to his big toe and the other end to Dane Tilse, or inserted each of his players with a tracking device. Seriously people think about what you're saying

No, I'm contesting the presumption that nothing happened because there were no official complaints.

It's called the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

btr, you'll have to do better than that if you want to claim any credibility at all. Name? Rank? Quote? Link?

It was the DPP's findings based on the police report.

There are plenty of links in contraversy corner threads.

Here's a link that sort of backs up reefy's claims.

http://www.abc.net.au/am/content/2004/s1100045.htm

The young woman claimed she'd been raped by up to six Bulldogs players at the pool at the Pacific Bay Resort early Sunday morning on the 22nd of February.

But it was decided that, based on the available evidence, it wouldn't have been possible to prove beyond reasonable doubt that a sexual assault took place. According to the documents, even the opportunity for gang rape to have occurred that morning, didn't exist.

The medical evidence and photographs of the young woman's body were inconsistent with the treatment she claimed to have received from a group of players that day.

According to the documents, three days earlier on the Wednesday night, the young woman had consensual group sex with five Bulldogs players in a room at the Pacific Bay Resort.

A Mod took it out of (I believe) the NRL forum. I saw it floating around in quarantine land. Didn't make much sense as its already in this thread... an extension of a one on one argument and probably more suited to TFC. Been a bit too busy to give it much attention but if you like, I'll look into it now.

The pitchfork reference was a lynchmob thing not a red neck thing. I am prepared to leave qlders out of it.

$5 says reefy has never had a root in his life
I would actually rather $5 for everyone he has.
Just don't let him put you on a bus so he can go get some.

Just one correction. It wasn't an all-female dorm at CSU. Also there were similiar problems in 2001 when City Country was played in Bathurst. The players were calling out to the girls at the dorm telling them to show them their tits etc while they were at the next door motel.

reefy, your a f**king tool, not all young footballers have their heads up their arses. only one or two screw up, dont tar all the young players with the same brush

i know some of them closely, and im can assure you they dont enjoy the stereotype that comes with being a young footballer. they wanna play footy and dmake the big time, and have families that would be devistated if they pulled some of those stunts, not all are the same as you think

Spin?

Bloke got drunk broke his curfew, and police have had no official compliants.

Glad your not a juror.
The police have had no official complaints SO FAR there may well be some further down the track. Lets stop guessing about what did or didn't happen and wait until there is some concrete information to go on.
