I cannot believe the hold Teflon has over a number of WT supporters. Look at the barbs and put downs placed on anyone who dares question the all mighty one. Not just here but on the WT website too. We have to be a member of the herd or we are cast out, they say we should not support WT because of our doubts towards Teflon.……People such as Ron with 8 posts to his name at time of this magnificent tome today:

You are such a lot of beeches, why do you even pretend to support this club? I get the impression you all just enjoy letting off steam being NEGATIVE and jealous of other mens positions of power. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and respect but sheez, common guys- have a rational debate without this crap.

Hardly anybody likes Tim Sheens as our coach anymore. Only the people with low post counts do, and they all eventually turn. :cool:

Mate- dont take my questioning of Teflon and the accountability of his decisions he must answer for, to be any less a passionate Weststigers supporter than those who blindly think Sheens is the answer to everything. I want the team to win. Others that question Teflon I presume want WT to win as much as anyone else.

In my case I just think WT and Teflon are gliding along on past glory and have made some very bad player recruitment decisions, decisions on where to play players and no-one ever questions him. All I keep hearing is 2005- HEY, WAKE UP!!!!! That was 4 years ago. Its 2009 and what has happened to WT? Our season is shot, as was 2008, 2007, & 2006. If that is not worth questioning those glib and trite utterances that come forth from Sheens and co what isnt? Are you happy with the continued failure of the team? Are you happy with WT recruitment and retention? The continual problem with salary cap that seems to only persistently effect WT? Are you happy with stubborn resistance of Sheens to make changes to the team before the season has been lost? He had to be dragged kicking and screaming tio make those changes- too late for 2009. Tell me- who should those questions be directed at if not Sheens???? The last person that tried to question him was sacked- Longmuir. Do you think that not a bit odd that the coach can engineer the sacking of a CEO?

Ron- we can agree to disagree over Sheens and co but please dont question my passion for Weststigers (and the old Magpies)....

Dear Ron,

I've compiled a few points for you to mull over.

Recent example of poor coaching: Sheens tells players not to become complacent after beating the Eels. (Context - one win from six starts, against a similarly lame-duck team, albeit a team who has flogged us to bits for five years prior...)

Recent example of poor club management: The "Where were you" & "Remember this, Dragons fans?" promotion for the Dragons game at the SFS. (Context - 1. Recollections of a game which many Tigers fans had to watch on TV because we couldn't get into the stadium, not exactly the clubs fault but it still smarts none-the-less so why rub it in? 2. Recollections of the last time we were competitive at the end of the season... Four years ago! Count them... One. Two. Three. Four. Does anyone remember those four years? I bet the Dragons fans don't... But we got smoked this time, and the Dragons are still at the top of the ladder. Where are we again?)

Recent example of poor club management: King Tim's revolution which resulted in the sacking of the CEO...

No, I don't want to coach an NRL team.

Yes, anyone who says "you can't criticise King Tim because you couldn't do any better" is a fool of the highest order.

I totally applaud your obvious support of this club, and the intelligence of your reply.However, I do not think you are in complete knowledge of the facts- and who is entirely? To say WT and coach are coasting? Any argument begins by transposing yourself to the 'oppositions' viewpoint. Do you really think an entire organisation has NO interest in achievement? (This is not politics) Have you not heard the reports of staff in tears and under humiliating threats during wannabe CEO's brief reign of terror?( office and marketing - not football) Have you no respect for supporters of other clubs who have not 'achieved' - yet still stay positive and proud? Do you really think the ideal is to win every year, always? Is that SPORT?? I say: This is what we've got ;its like family; may not be perfect, but it's OURS- and we DON'T NEED WHITE-ANTS...... You personally are not in that category, but if you have EVER said to a friend or acquaintance"Hell, I did not realise there was so much involved in your job" Let,s think again.

You are guilty of the very thing you accuse others of. Critical support is still support. Pride should not be unconditional, and nor should shame. Neither exist in a vacuum. Asking the obvious questions does not mean we already know all the answers. If it were as easy as that, I imagine Sheens would have been out of a job years ago...

Thanks for bringing this up, macnaz...

I just noticed the comma in the wrong place on Ron's estimate of 40,000 "True" fans... This can mean one of two things:

1. It is a typo - in which case he is as careless with the truth as his hero Mr Sheens; or

2. He is Wayne Cousins in disguise - that kind of spin must surely be the work of a master?

(Footnote - Sorry Ron, you don't deserve the bear the brunt of our disappointment, but you put yourself up as the best man for the job for the time being. Cheers. What sacrifice! If only our players were as committed as you seem to be...)

All Hail Weststigers- Players, Coaching Staff, Front Office, Recruitment, Sponsors, Supporters,Partners, Families, Canteen Ladies, Traffic Co-ordinators, Even 'fair-weather-lunatics' like you..... Look out for ceaseless positive posts when I return from T.of D. Would LOVE to take a few of you along.....
