What's the going rate for a premiership these days? With the drought and all, cattle stock prices up, house-prices, new taxation, plus you have to transport players in bulk from other clubs so there would be trucking fees, shipping fees, and in some cases airport fees to bring quality stock in from overseas.

Factor in the GST, terrorism problems and petrol prices - must be expensive?

You never know, maybe when Freddy retires we might even buy the mouthguard chucker as his replacement.

It's not a dream but wouldn't it be hilarious if Joey fatarse signed to play with the Roosters. It would be worth it just to see the reaction of the Newcastle fans.

I,ll change mine to "Penrith Panthers - 2003 worthy premiers"

Hope they dont show Freddie crying on Goulds shoulder again ala after that origin loss. Joey might get angry but at least he doesnt cry pubicly after losing.

You've already got him!!!! Finch unless my eyes decieved me a couple of weeks back, after he'd put yet another kick out on the full, out came the mouthguard to see what the turf was like where he was standing!!

But Antonius, Finch throwing his mouthguard doesn't count - hadn't you worked that out?
It takes a trained eye to see the difference, and clearly we as unworthy viewers are unable to differentiate between two mouthguard chuckers - we must admit to our failings now so that we can begin to learn from our esteemed Roosters friends. ;-)

As for Danish Moo Cow's comments about the 'Wall' - we won't go there, but I thought it was very subtly expressed -

Yeah kep deaming.. Joey would NEVER play for any other NRL Club - We at Newcastle have things like loyalty not going to the highest bidder (especially now Doogs is gone).. Look at Robbie O - 75% pay cut and he's still here!

Roosters just BUY loyalty! :) Look at Chris Walker - no one else would touch him, but being a glamour boy he fits into the Wall set at the Roosters!

For the record: I did not write what GoKnights has quoted me as saying. I realise it is an honest mistake brought about by a typographical error, but I didn't say the line mentioned.

Just clearing things up - misquotation is an issue I constantly battle against. :(

It just felt right, didn't it people? The Panthers, as underdogs, no-hopers, beating the favourites the Roosters.

All that arrogance, all that back-to-back crap, yet at the end of the night the better performing side won - a win for the battlers, a win for the underdogs, even a win for those who dislike the Roosters in their multiple-armed self-perpetuated nourishment of their own arrogant egos -

The relief of seeing a side win a match that few thought they would win - for the record I thought they would win, and although I'm disappointed a lot of my gut feelings about matches have been proven faulty in the past I'm glad my heart and brain finally matched up in their predictions.

I was thinking: am I supposed to feel sorry for the Roosters? The answer after much deliberation: no, sorry but I can't feel sorry for them losing.
