not necessarily, Anasta runs like a back rower, makes metres but little penetration, Barrett has the speed and power to bust the line and go around the fullback, just ask Karmichael Hunt.
BTW Anasta is a cat! Your mob are better off without him.

The Anasta/Finch combo could be the worst in the comp next year.

I voted Lockyer cos I knew everyone'd vote Johns.

Both all time greats at their main positions (Johns at halfback, Lockyer at fullback). Johns has been the heart and soul of any team he's played for for over a decade though, whereas Lockyer is only new to such a concept, having been moreso a strike player rather than an organisational player for so long. As far as ability I think theoretically they're much of a muchness, but as for career acheivements and who is held in higher esteem overall you'd have to go Johns.

But it's a weird comparison as far as trying to match them side by side cos they're both very different players, yet obviously because of the whole Aus captaincy issue they are compared.

that said both are champion players so its a matter of sticking with them till they come good, which for them is only a matter of time

True that, we'll smash those clowns as well. As for playing sh*t, Johns set up two tries and scored one himself (should be another if Locky could've held onto the ball in the clear), he didn't play his best, but he was 86000 times better than Lockyer last night, who was awful as usual.

That's funny, let me just dig up a quote where you'd say Lockyer is better, before he was shown up to be about #4 5/8th in the comp. In pure skills, Johns sh*ts all over Lockyer, he's better in every aspect... It's an unfair comparison really. Compare Johns to Fittler and you're getting close.

Most of the time all I say is that you CAN'T compare them! They play 2 different positions. I like to say who is the best in their position. For example, Shane Webcke is clearly the best prop in the game, does that mean he is better or worse than Johns- NO. But does that mean that Johns is better than Webcke- NO. All it means is that they are both the best in their positions. I maintain it is almost imposible to compare people in different positions.

Over his career he is definately better. However all I was trying to do is use him for my argument (bailey would be second). Have a look at Webcke's stas over his career. He has been outstanding every year. All I was using Webcke is to say you can compare a halfback to a five-eigth, just as you can't compare a prop to halfback. They all play different roles and are all equally as good as one another!
