I dont think so. Hilary Duff is a little pest and Gwen Stefani's songs are just irritating. They get by in the looks department, but as far as talent goes they leave a lot to be desired.

Gwen, shes very talented but i prefered her in No Doubt, her music seemed real then, where as now it doesnt sound like music, just more computerised pop rubbish

Hilary isn't bad to look at and she's got some singing potential too but her songs are nothing special IMO.

Gwen is much older and sexier than Hilary but I find her solo songs a bit annoying.

Gwen Stefani is a looker but sadly as someone posted has just become a generic pop person especially with her latest song Luxurious which I got confused with as it sounded nothing like someone with 16 years or more talent. Her days of No Doubt's lead singer were awesome, especially her songs like Just a Girl and It's My Life.

Hilary Duff is a looker sadly she's followed Lindsays Lohans trend and decided to go annerixic. Although she's not as bad as Lindsay she's not as good as looking. Her songs are nothing special but to give her some credit she does beat Nicky Webster...if that's any kind of consolation. The sad thing is I have this friend that is truly obsessed with her so every conversation somehow has something to do with her and the lead singer from GC.

Very true, but then again, a lot of music artists learned how to sing after they became stars. Bono and Kylie Minogue are a couple of examples and there are plenty of others.

The annoying thing about Hilary is that she doesn't write her own music or lyrics and I don't think she can play an instrument. She is bascially just a pop princess cashing in on her public profile from the Lizzie McGuire TV series. Good on her on that score and to the marketing people behind her rise.

I will say one thing though, she came to a few regional centres and played at smaller venues during her recent tour and the tickets were reasonably priced. My nine year old daughter adores her and went to her performance in Canberra. $69 compared with someone like Delta Goodrem, who she also likes, who wanted $99 at a much larger venue.

What a lame thread, If you think them two were the most talented artist to come out of 2005 then you should get out more!

Stefani should never EVER be allowed to do anything outside of No Doubt, she can only manage one decent song on her own out of 20!

Apart from that I wouldnt knock back either of them ;-) :lol: :lol:
