Hmm, i think I'm going to lay off Tyran for this year until I see him play.l Maybe he improved with the rest of the team? Only time will tell.

I agree with everyone who are not at all worried about Kahler in the front row. He may have been wearing the number 12 jersey but he has been the man in the middle for us the last 2 weeks. He has been playing a front rowers role, now the only thing that will change is that he has an 8 on the back of his shirt and not a 12.

i hope so
but honestly, i doubt it

i think wirth J Smith in 5/8th he has potential to wreck some real havok on the fringes but he needs to eliminate his silly penalties and the "offload at any time" mentality, he needs to pick the right times

Mark O'Meley is a very small prop and would just tip the scales at 100kg but is extremely effective for his size.

The Panthers forwards are all oversized and they are struggling to keep up with the game so I think a prop about Kahler's size is perfect for the NRL.

one thing im hoping for is to be playing with 17 men for the whole game this week... wee seem to have 3 guys injured in each game and only have been working with a one man bench

While I do agree, we have the type of team who seems to lift when there are injuries. Some of our best wins have been when we've struggling with injury.

I remember the win against the Roosters in 2001 or 2002 when we had no bench players and Toots played the last 30 minutes with a broken leg.

Mark O'Meley's a different kettle of fish. He's a bit shorter, and has the typical front-rower's build, not to mention a hell of a power game, which Kahler is yet to show. the main thing for me is that I had high hopes that Kris could become a ball-playing, line-breaking, tryscoring backrower. His move to the front row may temporarily halt this dream of mine, because the first of these can quite easily be achieved from the prop position, but the last two are extremely difficult, and therefore very rare, if not non-existent.

I'm hoping Thommo can become close to an 80-minute player now that Rhino's gone - he seems fit enough to be able to do it. That would mean that when Weyman comes on, Kahler can move to the backrow.

PS: I am aware that Kahler was named at prop in a number of Premier League games in 2004.

Nice work quoting yourself K-Man

BTW I agree with you on most of that. Kahler's move is temporary anyway, wouldn't worry too much.

You never know, but this could work out better than most expect it to. Wouldn't it be good if he put some pressure on the regular starters who have done a good job so far?
