Congratulations to Nathan Hindmarsh for breaking and Daniel Wagon for equalling Paul Taylor's 23 year old record for tackles in a first grade match, almost to the day. Paul Taylor made 52 tackles for the Eels on the 31 May 1981. A great photo of him on that day is up in the hall of fame at Parramatta Leagues Club.

Still remember having Paul Taylor's number on the back of an old parra jumper.

Always thought it was a disgrace he had to finish his career at Penrith.

Congrats to Nathan. Disgraceful that he had to make so many in the first place though. At least now he'll definately go down in Parramatta history.

So how many tackles was it in total that Hindy made in 100 odd minutes of footy over 5 days if you count SOO1 and yesterday?

Lets not kid ourselves that anyone from Parra deserved any Dally M points....we lost 33 - 6....and the 6 was pretty much a consolation try.....it'd be hard enough sharing 3,2,1 around the Tigers.

Congrats to Hindy and Wags, now if others are prepared to roll up the sleeves and do the hard work

If I remember rightly, Taylor made 40 of them in one half alone which broke Churchill's record of fullback tackles in a half; when fullbacks played in the front line defensively.
