How on earth can God Almighty (Smith) think that Dykes and Morris aren't good enough one week, but ARE the next??

And if confidence is the problem, putting players on a big dipper week in/week out is the last thing to do to restore/build confidence.

I believe Dykes was primarily dropped because of defensive lapses - he GAVE St George the try that set them rolling by turning his back and walking away leaving a 15m hole with the ball 2m from our line - he needed a major arse kicking for that!

Morris - well he probably copped the frustration of a coach who is not seeing his team do what he tells them to.


But if they are dropped to 2nd grade and told to play a certain way - and they do that - then should they not be entitled to be reinstated immediately - they have taken the kick in the guts, learnt from it and now have a chance to show what they are made of.....we played shit aginst the Tigers, their replacements did no better than them.

I feel a bit for Thorman and Webster cos they were really trying hard out there.....I'd like to see Thorman on the bench, but it didn't happen - we just have to hope Dyles and Morris fire up for Saturday.

My theory is since the PL team is winning, he is dropping players to PL in the hope that a win will give them back some of the confidence they are losing.
Elevating guys from PL as a reward for good play, try to bring enthusiasm and confidence to the first grade, and see if they have what it takes for FG.

Dykes and Witt seemed to be picking up some good form towards the end of last season so hopefully that will show. Also I guess dropping Dykes to PL for week might have wiped the smile off face.

I'd add to that a complete lack of penetration from dummy half as well as some substandard service from dummy half.

Good on Hindy, it's great he's coming out with the positive statement in time of rumours etc
