Hindy's 300th

Reading the Big League season preview today I see that Hindy is approaching the 300 games, currently on 293. If all goes to plan, he will reach 300 in Round 7, which happens to be a home game at Parramatta Stadium.

Hope it is sold out for this milestone, but a few things might stop that from happening. It's the game v Gold Coast, and being the Easter Long Weekend, some fans might be away from Sydney.

I was there for game 1 in Parkes when I nearly got washed away by the inland sunami that night, and I'll be there for 300.

Big League are wrong. Hindy has played 283 games so barring injuries, rep selection, or suspension, he would play his 300th in round 19 against Penrith at CUA. He normally has misses a couple of games a season so it could happen anytime after that really. First opportunity for him to play his 300th at Parra would be round 21 against the Storm. That'd be fired up.

phew, i was about to go and tell my wife we aren't going camping this Easter after reading the first post. What are the odds he'll miss a few games due to injury or origin and make the 300th at home

My guess is his 300th will be the 2011 Grand Final.

OK, unfortunately I don't know everything there is to know about Parra or it's players, and sometimes need to rely on magazines like Big League.

Poor form by the magazine, it is supposed to be the official publication of the NRL, and the information was sourced from David Middleton

Hindy plays his 308th game tonight and surpasses Kimmorley into 14th spot.

In the coming weeks he will rapidly climb the ladder and will pass:

313 Steve Price
314 Luke Priddis
315 Ruben Wiki
315 Paul Langmack
316 Hazem El Masri
318 Jason Croker
320 Geoff Gerard

By mid-year he will have passed Jethro and become the 7th all time, with ET (6th) firmly in his sights at 328. Cliffy Lyons (5th) at 332. Brad Fittler (4rd) at 336 is doable if we make the semis.

Only if he has one more year he can pip Lockyer's 355 all time record.

If he surpasses ET he'll be 2nd behind Lockyer in most first grade games played for one club. He's currently 5th.
