Well in the last half a decade, Amos Roberts would have to be in the top 5 for Penrith. He only played one year but gee he played some great football during the season.

Petero has been good but I wouldn't call him the best buy ever. Certainly the best in the last decade though.

Girdler is a good one for Penrith, he couldn't get a run for the Steelers he came when they had a very good centre pairing in Paul McGregor and Brett Rodwell plus representative wingers Rod Wishart and Alan McIndoe.

Definitely the best purchase in the last 20 years at least for Penrith.

Definitely Lazarus for the Bronco's. They had most bases covered but he was the missing ingredient that started it all rolling.
