I have been to KL a fair bit over the last few yrs.
You see a heap of Protons there.
Even the new ones look as if they were made in 1987

Only a fool would be suckered into buying one. Cheap and nasty pieces of rubbish only one grade up from lugging farm produce via donkeyback around in Malaysia. I think Proton's golden boy Marshall has more metal in him than one of their vehicles.

Hey farkers, I own a Proton Satria GTi. In general most of their cars are sh1t, but this one has a Mitsubishi engine (very reliable) and is widely regarded as the best car they built, it now has somewhat of a cult following. It's a great car to drive and has Lotus tuned suspension, so it handles like its on rails. I wouldn't touch any of the new ones though.

Ok, back to the football. Letting Hodgson go should only be done if we buy a proper half. Surely they don't want Luke Lewis in the halves, FFS? Hodgo practically plays five-eighth in attack anyway, as Morris is f**king useless. Letting Hodgson go without a halves replacement would be suicidal.

I'd take both Lewis and Rooney for the backline, they've both played Origin before, so there is talent there. Then again, so has O'Hara and look how that turned out. But IMO they would both be pretty handy players for us.

Youngquest is one that caught my eye earlier in the season. He used to play in the centres and was widely regarded as a turnstyle in defence, but on the wing he was quite good this year. Pace to burn, good support player and a fantastic goalkicker. At a cheap price, I'd sign him.

We need a half, it's that simple. If Flanagan doesn't want to play in the halves I'd let him go and use him as a bargaining chip. Sad, but the reality is he won't play hooker here as long as we have Farah.

I've mentioned Mathew Head before, apparently he won't get a look in at the Dragons in 08. I know he's injury prone, and had his fair share of troubles getting on the field, but so were Prince, Hodgson, Richards before we signed them. Head is an organiser and has an excellent kicking game, when in form IMO he is one of the better halves in the comp. I'd definately be inquiring about his services.

Flanagan for Holdsworth ? Holdsworth has a massive boot on him and is a decent defender. Played for a side that finished in the top 4 last year. Better player than Morris will ever be. Dobson. One from left field none of us has mentioned .. Nathan Fien. Was halfback for the cowboys in their 04 side and is more of a halfback than hooker. Was coached by Shines and has a connection .. robust defender as well and isn't a spot player. Continuing fantasy football 1. Marshall, 6. Holdsworth, 7. Fien 9. Robbie ??

I told you this 2 weeks ago. It`s common knowledge that we can`t sustain the suspect defence of both Hodgo and Benji. Benji has no future defending in the front line and since it`s also now proven that he`s suspect defending on the wing, the only option is to play him fullback.
Penrith are considering releasing Rooney as he`s on big money for a winger and will only release him if we pay his full wage of up around the $170,000-$180,000 per season mark, whilst they won`t be releasing Luke Lewis for next season !!!
In saying this, the Panthers don`t want Luke Priddis and are desperate for a hooker, i reckon they could be tempted into releasing Luke Lewis if we offered releasing Stu Flanagan in exchange ??? Luke Lewis is a very good centre and a centre only, the Panthers will ruin him by planning to play him 5/8 or lock.

hahah desperate for a hooker...get your head checked.

We got Priddis, Aiton, Peters, Iosefa, Wood....Iosefa is quality, Priddis is all class, Aiton is a great ball runner, Peters is a handy back up.

If there is one position we don't need its Hooker.

If I was the Tigers i'd be going after Nick Youngquest, Scott Geedes, Garrat Crossman

Youngquest is better than anything u have on the wing to replace Fitzhenry...and you need two good props.

1. Brett Hodgson, 2. Taniela Tuaki, 3. Dean Collis, 4. Chris Lawrence, 5. Nick Youngquest, 6. Benji Marshall, 7. John Morris, 8. Scott Geedes, 9. Robbie Farah, 10. Todd Payton, 11. Chris Heighnington, 12. Liam Fulton, 13. Dene Halatau
14. Keith Gallaway, 15. Garret Crossman, 16. Bronson Harrison, 17. Ben Te'o

Besides Priddis who your coach don`t want, if you think any of those hookers are as good as Stuart Flanagan, then you need your head checked.

Get your eyes checked Vish....he didnt say those players were better than flanno, he said, in response to your "Penrith desperate for hooker"...and I quote,
If there is one position we don't need its Hooker.

And i rate li'l Paul Aiton as a pretty good hooker also. Few more protein shakes and bench presses in the offseason and you got yourself a very very decent 1st grade hooker.

Masada Iosefa is a deadset star in the making. Anyone who has seen him play, in particular this year will agree. He should come off the bench next year in First Grade, and play a utility role. In 09, hopefully he will be our starting hooker.

Hopefully Jennings is NEVER taken off our hands!

I would not be surprised at all to see Lewis and Rooney one day play again under Royce Simmons. After all it was Simmons who blooded them in First Grade at a VERY young age in 2001.

I`d like to bet that ANY OTHER NRL CLUB IN THE COMPETITION EXCEPT MELBOURNE AND MAYBE NEWCASTLE would love Stuart Flanagan in their side and that he`d be an automatic inclusion in their top 17, no matter who else they have in their ranks.
So yes, smart ass, desperate might have been the wrong term, but nether the less, Stuart Flanagan would still be a very good bargaining tool in exchange for other contracted players who may be a little on the outer at their current clubs.

Spot on Flanagan would be in first grade anywhere except with us, Melbourne and Newcastle. He sh*ts on garbage like Woolford, Riddell, Balin, L'estrange, Rigon, Ennis, Gatis, Hughes etc. He was very solid again today and is really way too good for that level.
