Marshall is a fullbackHe needs more room to use his running stepping game,
it also takes him out of the line in defence. In attack hodgo at 5/8 then in defence
on the wing.prince at half even though i'd rather him at 5/8.

Seen that marshall out i like to see kerr given the chance with prince

I think he made his debut at halfback, then moved to five-eight. The moved him onto the wing and then back to fullback to protect him because of his size.

No, infact he debuted as a winger for his First club Western Suburbs in '97 and played basically 2 years as a winger for the Maggies. He then moved to Fullback when Andrew Leeds was injured during the '98 Season and consequently took over from Leedsie in '99 when he retired. He played a handful of games at Halfback, not 5/8th, with Justin Brooker going to Fullback, and Kevin McGuinness moving to 5/8th.

Ahhh, McGuinness!
The memories!

I was just playing my dusty XBOX Rugby League game and the Tigers were playing the Eagles.....

McGuinness put on a few awesome hits against Prince and Marshall and set up a few good plays. Its funny seeing last years squads from the other teams.

aahhhh well, its just a computer game!

Oh, and WT won 28 - 24 :D

You have to be a good defensive player to be a fullback, not just attacking. You only weaken your side by putting your worst defensive player at fullback.

Hodgson played a few games for Wests in the halves, but his size let him down defensivley, and he moved back to fullback.

And hes even smaller now than he was then, so I really think he wold struggle in defence.

But Ive been thinking that we could possible name someone like Covell at five-eighth, and have Hodgson defend at fullback and play five-eighth when we have the ball. Covell is strong and quick(ish), and would definately have no trouble defending at five-eighth.

Geez in my team i'd play the worst defender at fullback get them
out of the line.In saying that i wouldn't say his the worst defender
but he isn't good.

daslacker, thats stupid, you play your worst defender in the line between two reasonable defenders

Like McLinden, he normally defends inside the likes of Hindmarsh, Hodgson (micheal), Croker etc
