Are you seriously arguing with yourself? I can't keep up with you. We won our only comp, under Noyce, with heaps of wins at Telstra?!?!?!

I guarantee you if we had one home ground of a decent standard, not a sh*thole dug in 1930 or the local sports ground that we'd probably make a bit more money than we would off the merch sales from a GF. We don't have any money BECAUSE we play at these grounds. You understand they lose us money because people don't bother going, even after whinging deluxe.

Gotta agree that taking games away from the SFS will end up costing the club money - especially from the corporates. The sponsors will be racing to get the SFS games, because they can take their big clients to a day at the footy at the SFS where they look professional, rather than a little surburban ground that is hard to get to and looks cheap and run down Tradition does not count for much to lawyers, bankers and wankers.

I dont think the 30k crowds were so much the venue but more the matches being played, so i suppose say the WT v Parra game would have just been 22k and a full house at LO. If we must play the at big grounds we should do a better deal with the stadiums so we dont get a pissy 100K for a 35k crowd.

Well obviously its the game and not the venue that gets the crowd in. The point is that those grounds can accomodate 30k. 22k at LO has happened ONCE, but we've got more than that amount at modern grounds 2 or 3 times a year roughly.

And we still make onky 100k ... Could have a million turn up and still 100k... Tell me LO with 20k ppl couldnt make more than that in profit. The club will actually get some punters as well.
