I'd rather have Pricey as coach rather than McWreckor, at least he's a 2 time winning premiership waterboy!! He may have been clueless but at least he was honest. The current knobhead is clueless, arrogant and a blame deflector. Can it get any worse??

The only other players from the Cutters that I would like to see involved with the NRL are
Coster and Sironen. I am sure that Ian Millward could also achieve this if Havili, Lafai and Lui leave. One good thing is that we have good strength at hooker with McInnes, Havili, McCrone and Marketo. While we do not have a standout at hooker we have some good solid players. I was most impressed with Havili at the end of the year in the Cutters when he got some consistent playing time as he went from slow and ponderous under McGregor to solid, nippy and incisive under Demetriou.
Marketo at hooker is far from a strength .

To be fair the standard has a lot to do with this

I know that it sounds strange but I think that this Forum is viewed by some of the powers that be. Some of the recruitment has followed suggestions on this Forum. I do not think that Mark Coyne will muck around and play games like Doust and McGregor. He has already been quite critical in the press and being successful in business would know how to negotiate. If Doust gets any further from the action he would not have a job-Yippee!

Both he and the rest of the committee I feel are simply hired as window dressing material to appease the disgruntled fan base.
No more than a week or so after Coynes analysis article Demetriou moves on. What exactly is this committee even doing then if the wrong decisions are still getting made??

I'm pretty sure a few more Cutters boys were probably spoken to, but may have indicated their wish to remain part-time, or without "guarantee" of playing at NRL level may have just said no.
I agree I would like to see Sironen have crack, but maybe another year in Reggies to see if he continues to improve.

Just shows the committee is going to be of little use and is a token effort to try and placate members, fans and sponsors. They have no real power to enforce change and we have little money to pay for any recommendations from the committee. To think, if the board had elected to sack Mary, how different the conversations would've been on here and how different attitudes would be. Alas, the boys club chose less than mediocrity instead.

Sironen is a dud. Seen enough of him being dominated by other reserve graders to suggest he is no more than another Luke Page or Josh Ailaomai

Nothing ever comes from speaking to any high profile players from other clubs, so ultimately it's talk to the Cutters players or more heralded signings of the "older more experienced depth players" they come up with every year.
I wonder when depth players we sign will actually become "THE TEAM" and then we can sign some depth players to cover them off.
