Honestly, are we up to beating the Drags this weekend?

We'll have to offer a bit more attack against the Dragons. For most of the second half Parra handled our attack. Squeaky clean with the penalties, and better defence. Don't want to give the Drags as much field position as we gave Parra. Thankfully, Parra made a lot of mistakes when they got good field position.

Well, I must admit, the guys have worked themselves into a position where I think we are evens or odds on to beat the Drags...

3 weeks ago, I would have said we were 20-1 to beat the Drags, the way they had played...

No doubt the TAB will have us at a 4.5 points start or worse, and deservedly so... My tip, take what start they give you and slap a "Lobster" or "Pineapple" on the Sharkies!! 8)

We should be getting more than 4.5 start

good topic but a strange question imo. there's no doubt we're definitely in with a good shot to win the way we've played the last two weeks. more importantly the belief and team spirit the sharks have developed recently means it should be a committed contest from both teams.

the dragons are in great form and although missing a few key players are tough to pick against, but as long as our pack gets stuck into it like the last two weeks i think kimmorley will be the big difference compared to head who i didn't rate too highly. i predict the result to go down to the wire but sharks to win it at home in a close and very tough one 24 -20

c'mon sharkies !

Bailey, Barrett, and possibly Ryles back.

Sorry lads, but you have very little chance.

Ha! :p St. George were finals bound last year until we rolled them easily. I'm very confident this week. 8)

When we kicked their sorry asses out of the 2002 season, they had Barrett, Bailey, Ryles, Thompson, Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaz and Cooper all on deck. And they were never in it.

Barrett is still in doubt, and will probably hurt himself again if he plays.

I can't wait to see Vagana run at Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaz. Being it on!!

They beat the Panthers and there is no way we could beat the panthers. But our real problem will be Storm! They will rip us! Belive me I dont want this to happen but I worried about embarassing score lines.

Well, The odds aren't in our favour, but I'm still confident we can come up with a win.

One thing is for sure, if we play like we did against the Raiders, and Saints play like they did against Roosters, we will certainly have a match on our hands.

Anyone that saw the game against the Chooks today would have to be worried about our chances of beating the Drags.

I know I am worried!! They have great defence, a low mistake rate and seem on a mission this year. Their players are also answering the challenges thrown at them.

The game against the Chooks was one of the best I've seen all year, even with Goose Gould's idiotic one-sided comments, and they seem to be a level above us atm. I just hope the guys can step up to their level next weekend. I'm confident that we can, but have trepitation about the end result also. The Sharkies need to go to the next level and put a GREAT game together. Thank god it's at Shark Park though!! :D

Hate to bring this up again, but all my fears WERE realised on Saturday night

Like I said in another thread, we face the Storm and the Chooks in the next 2 games, and if we don't win one or both of them, we will be also rans again this year... :?

Our missed tackles are slipping to the lows of CA's coaching and we are the worst in the comp this year. This also means we have a shocking defensive record.

They seemed to have addressed the discipline issue earlier in the season, now we need to address this again!! It was well down on last year earlier this year, but we have slipped to an average 35+ missed tackles a game now. We will win nothing with that, except the spoon...

PLEASE learn to tackle Sharks!!

That figure has been pretty ordinary for a few years now. I remember when CA first started and everyone was moaning about the flat attack, we were conceding 30-odd points a game. Surely someone on the coaching staff is aware of this??? I'm no football genius, but it looks like a pretty obvious problem to me.
