HONESTLY- where will your side finish in 2005

can you give reasons of why you would think we are goin to finish 10?

Personally im thinking we will come 6th....my resonsons for this is due to the following:
*Fowards - with morrison injected in our side you may see the most leathal second row combination in 2005, plus with wags they are all 80 min players, hence giving us further depth in the front row with the likes of cayless, vella, cannings, stringer, robinson, tsoulos all fighting for 2 spots on the field and 2 spots on the bench

*Hookers - I believe parra will have the best hooking combination in Marsh and riddell....no more to be said!

*Backs - Mickinnon will be pushing for rep honours next yr....he was great in a bad side, cant wait to see what he can do when we are winning!
Tahu and grothe combo....i dont know, but not many teams would knock such a combo back.

*Halfs - This is definitly where the problem is....but saying that parra have made many finals series without a viable half back so im not worried about that but if you are then with morris taking the number 6 we currently got four players in Smith, green, marcus and Marsh (if need be) all trying to cement that position. Not mentioning huge the huge raps placed on Smith and Marcus!!!

SO to sum up the only thing stopping us from anther non final series is our luck in the injuries...if its anything like the last two seasons then your probably right!

I think we will meet St. George Illlawarra in the Grand Final next year. The world will see what is great about Rugby League when these 2 traditional rivals meet. We will of course take our first title since 1986 and Brian Smith will be carried around the field by our 2 props, Stringer and Cayless. Hindmarsh will once again cry after a grand final, however this time with tears of joy. Shortly after every forum user here will meet at Parra Leagues Club where we take turns in will bombarding Ray Hadley with mobile phone calls. The calls will continue during the week during his morning show and finally he will have to apologise for putting sh*t on Parra since 2001.

I'd like to see 1st and it is a chance but honestly at this stage I'd say 4th

It will take a little bit of time for all the players to gell thankfully Parra have a easier start to this year then normal so they can risk going into some of the early season games still expirimenting. This will help with getting the team to gel then by round 10 Parra should be able to get going and winning more games back to back.

Don't forget even in 2001 it wasn't until round's 11 and 12 that Parramatta won back to back games.

This year is quite similar to 2001

New halves combination
2001: It was Buettner and Taylor, while others including Wagon & Lyon were tested once Buettenr & JT got together they stayed there unless injury forced changes or late in the year with BS rested JT

2004: Most likley Marsh & Morris but the likes of Perenara and Smith will be tested

New hooker
2001: Drew
2004: Riddel and like Drew he'll only play 50 mins a game meaning a new bench replacment needs to be found aswell most likley to be one of the non picked halves tested.

Lots of kids just starting out in 1st grade
2001: Vaealiki, Lyon, Marsh, Richards, Ryan and others had only justed started their careers even the Hindmarsh brothers didn't have a HUGE amount of expierence.

2004: Players like Ben Smith, Feleti Mateo, Jack Afamasaga, Tim Smith, Justin Tsoulos, Josh Cordoba etc. Likewise you could say that players Grothe (due to injury) and McKinnon are far from veterns.

probably in the bottom half of the eight come finals time, but then it's a totally different game and as the cowboys showed this year anyone is in with a chance.

If we turn out to be a ripper of a team come the half-way mark, then Hindy goes down, it will be a real setback. Suspension is also another thing that can ruin even the best of teams.

Really I think you need to ask two questions - Will we make the 8? and if so will we make the Top 4? I think the answer is Yes for the 8, and dunno (depends on injury/suspension/patience etc) for the Top 4.
