He pulls off some great hits, just rushes out of the line and misses badly sometimes.

His lateral movement is not what it was, he did have a pretty bad injury though, so I guess thats natural.

He probably is a forward but we are soooooo skinny out wide we dont have the options.

Sometimes I feel for the bloke imagine having to mark Inglis, Falou, Gasnier, Hodges, Jennings etcetcetc?????? 1 on 1 with those sorta blokes he must have nightmares.

Maubs is doing ok but would struggle to penetrate a tub of yoghurt, you have to have more weapons in the arsenal out wide than that, the outside backs and half have been much more of a problem than our forwrd pack, check the stats from sat night and forwars won the battle our clueless outside backs were the problem, you just never feel confident at any stage when teams are in our 20.

I see maubs as a hooker, but he must fifgt the pretender for that role.

Your a better man than most, he was injured for just over a year, we are much too quick these days to hammer a bloke returning from injury.

Monas was the same started great bad knee injury came back in very ordinary form, was bagged from pillar to post, when finally fully fit at the backend of last season was back to his best, has continued that form with the raiders.

Jamies side did well without him the other night, maybe hes surplus to requirements???? I did hear comment Gaz and Cooper looked like centres and saw the ball. Dont know if theres a connection there but I got the dig thats what was being hinted. Cant say I agree, but its a valid observation.

Maubs is a mile ahead of Soli at the moment. I was stunned to see Soli pop up in the top 10 missed tackles this year, cos defence was always his thing. I understand the injury situation, but realistically do you reckon hed survive if Sa was 100% and the forwards all fit???? I reckon hed get the cut, just purely on form. Sadly we have zero depth and 3 backrowers cover the 2 spots.

Maubs to 9, it would ONLY be as a stop gap, shoulda tried i6t on Fri, left Pearce at 1/2 and stuck Jones into 3, its where he played anyway.

Why doesnt Jones play at 7 in the lower grades???? I see him playing at 3 alot??? I reckon hes a 9 personally, just the build and good defence, very Pingesque.

Benny Jones was a schoolboy star in the halves, its got me stuffed why he has played at centre, but yes he has the ideal build for a hooker, has a wonderful short and long kicking game, passes well eith side and can really hit in defence, he burried inglis and falou on more than one occasion on friday.

Im still unsure on maubs, he is clearly not a centre, he is the heir apparent to fitzy.

I think soli has ben put in an awkward position, our 2 wingers cannot tackle period, even my mate skid mark is prone to making the wrong secion, soli in recent weaks has been forced to rush in because teams people us out wide.

Maybe move soli to the wing ala vateuvi from the warriors.

Dont fear though we have the centre we need playing toyota cup, Ryan Williamson will be a superstar, big strong, hole running, tackle busting, hard hitting, fleet footed kid.

Sure he is having a rough patch now, but it was always going to happen at some stage the way he started off the year we were all jumping with joy that we had finally found a half back.

Andrew Johns has said he will be Australian halfback within the next 3 years or so. Personally I think that may be a bit too soon but he will definantly play for them within the next 5.
