Both Lee Hopkins and Dean Widders have been charged for their respective offences but neither will miss any games if they plead guilty. Widders was charged with a grade one dangerous throw bringing 93 points and Hopkins a grade one careless high tackle worth 56 points.

Yeah it was lucky Widders has no previous offences in the the last 2 years, because even though Mark Riddell does not have any carry over points he is facing one week for the same charge due to a non-simialr charge in the last 2 years.

Isn't it just nuts that Widders gets 93 points for something that really didn't seem that dangerous - yet Hopkins only gets 56 points for smacking a guy in the face.

Hopkins joins an elite club.

How many players have smacked a rooster like he did and not got a week?

I thought Fitzgibbons lift on Wednesday was worse than Widders lifting. Thats the Roosters for ya I guess.

honestly, i love guru to death, but i would keep this squad together for a little while. they've proven themselves as tight, and that what you need. boys who want to win for each other

Widders should just take the early plea and get off because if he tries chances are he'll fail and then get a week but with Hopkins

56 points for early guilty
76 pts if found gulity

Why not just take a punt he might get off and have no points so if something does happen later he doesn' t have 56 pts over his head to lead to a suspension(highly unlikley that it would work tho)

I don't advocate dirty tackling ...

But it was bloody hilarious! Fitz got what was coming to him!

That tackle on Slater on Origin III - he shoul have been suspended. But nope - he's a Chook.

HA!

Eelmentry: I was actually surprised the the Rooster League didn't find a way to get Hindy suspended for that tackle on the 3rd game

ye God!!! yet another miracle has duth happened.....eels players charged at the judiciary and not rubbed out for at least a month????

and they dare to hit thyn Rooster no less and get away with it??????

about time we got a break at the judiciary, but they probably got off, cause Fitzgibbon's spear on Slater was worse and he waqsn't going to be suspended was he???

They must have used the Morley rule interpretation. How he didn't even get penalised for his tackle in the first half that "came up off the shoulder" according to the referee is beyond me.

I reckon we keep the same side regardless of who is fit. Keep them all until they stop turning up. If we played like that every week our problems would be over.
