Horn vs Tszyu

Go Timmy. Got in the mood by watching my favourite Kostya Tszyu fight on youtube, when he shut up that loud mouth Yank Zab Judah.

If you haven't seen it, or not for a few years, do yourself a favour and watch it again. Amazing end to the fight.

there will be a rematch no matter the result. maybe even a draw
choc mundine ''the man'' has arranged a fight in November i read

The chance to have his hand raised in one last domestic showdown will lure Anthony Mundine back into the ring before he rides off into the sunset.

The 44-year-old is refusing to hang up the gloves as he hunts for a dream farewell against one of Australia's finest boxers in Michael Zerafa.

Mundine (48-10) has dropped six of his past 10 bouts but he is determined to leave the sport a victor despite previously announcing his retirement.

A bout with 28-year-old Zerafa (27-4) looms as the last realistic pay day for former world champion Mundine on the domestic scene.

The fight is scheduled to start at 930pm AEST but we could be set for a late start because both fighters are still at odds over who will come out first.

Each camp has had several disagreements over certain clauses in the fight contract and it appears they're still at loggerheads about how each fighter will enter the ring.

Apparently, Tszyu has been told to go first but subsequently refused. Tszyu believes he has the right to come out last because his belts are up for grabs.

Horn's camp says the Queenslander should be the last fighter to come out because he's the bigger drawcard.

"We'll wait all night if we have to," Horn's trainer Glen Rushton told Main Event's Ben Damon.

Boxers.

Grown men who are tough enough to punch the crap out of each other for 12 rounds.

But still immature enough to carry on like spoilt little toddlers over who walks first.

Please don’t tell either of them I said that, btw.

Yeah fair enough.
Like anything once you get to know all the fighters it becomes intriguing.
Then there are the programs like the ultimate fighter which show new talent coming through in a crazy American reality show format.
I've watched UFC from the beginning.
Got into it in the early days, fascinating stuff.
Sounds like me mate...I really love boxing but something about ufc has always attracted me...i think its the fact you have so many ways you can finish a fight...I, like you, have been a fan a long time,so much so i can remember what Dana White looked like with hair...i remember going to video ezy to hire VHS tapes of the very early ufc events... i remember this skinny looking nobody that people didn't take seriously called Royce Gracie come to the ufc and introduce the world to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu by proceeding to choke people out and break peoples arms that were twice the size of him.I was also a massive fan of "the iceman" Chuck Liddell and "the prodigy" B.J. Penn...

Mate! Chuck Liddell was fierce.
My favourite all time fighter though was B.J. Penn. At one stage he was the best pound for pound fighter in MMA. He would fight guys 30 pounds heavier than him in Japan in K-1.
All 5'8 of him!
I hated how his career fizelled out though.
Frankie Edger was too quick for him and GSP would just take him down and lay on him.
UFC is great, I dont follow it like I used too but still watch a fair bit.

Well have only just now seen the result of the fight . And it went exactly as I expected it to go with the one exception - it was Tzysu who totally dominated Horn .

Good luck to the young man , he certainly has the world at his feet with that stunning win.
Commiserations to Jeff , as Tim Tzysu said after the fight “ it’s a young’s mans game “ .

Tim Tzysu has now undoubtedly stepped out of his father’s shadow and he will make all Australians proud in the future.

And Jeff Horn at 32 , he has experienced the highs of the boxing world , so I sincerely hope that he has the good sense to retire gracefully .

I remember me and a few of my mates were at my friends place and paid the money to get this fight out on pay tv...we all got on the drink and when Kostya hit Judah with that sledge hammer of a right hand we went ape shit...i remember Judah went after the ref at the end of the fight...he couldn't handle the fact that Kostya schooled him....Ah good times....

I joined a dinner function with the Tszyu family at Aqua Luna Waterfront tonight. It was a great evening, the tables were full and of course lots of support for Tim. Got to meet his mum too, she's quite the babe.

On the fight, gosh Tszyu dominated. I didn't expect such a clinic, he absolutely belted Horn from start to finish.

Very humble , and loves Australia. So does his mum, she talked about it quite a bit. So much better than athletes who are born and live here, yet display allegiance to the parents homeland.

Well done Tim.

I watched the fight on Fox last night with some mates and family. Tim went so well that everyone agreed he will go all the way just like his dad. So good to have another Australian boxer on the way to a world championship.

He’s always been very measured and patient but has never faced anyone of Horns level in the past. This victory proves he can match it with the best. Can’t wait to see him progress
