How are the Warriors so comprehensively sh*t?

How do you go from a Grand Final to the softest defense in the league and a bunch of bumbling idiots standing flatfooted with no direction and no ball control on offense? It's not just one player, the whole team looks transformed into suckitude.

And how is Ben Henry still picked for the team every week?

-A seriously disappointed and embarrassed fan

I got fed up 10min from time, and came on here- to find '15 viewing'...a bad sign there are a lot of frustrated and angry fans. It is starting to look like '09 again. After all the hype and expectation, let down again.
I don't know. I know many are straight on the coach...I'm still not ready to do that yet. But getting closer.
I expect our team, after looking so bad last week, to make an effort this week. And they just looked so flat and uninterested. I just don't get that.
ATM I'm still simply just pissed off, so anything written is emotional and irrational. But shit it's frustrating and disappointing.

Yeah I can tell you're irrational and emotional by refusing to put any blame on the coach!;-)

Yeah I thought they would come out firing this week wanting to make up for last week, but they had no energy, no direction, no guts.

Probably the only other team that is underperforming this much is the Tigers, but when they are losing they are not looking nearly as bad as the Warriors are. They looks like they are one break away from finding form, while we look like an under 20's side thrown into first grade and have no clue what do do once the opening whistle blows.

Henry and Ropati named in the centres again this week would have to be the tipping point surely!?

I didn't like the way they were walking to and stalling the scrum in the first half- understand its a chance to have a breather but it just made them look like they didn't want to be there... wheres the energy and aggression?

The tipping point for me I think will be next game. At home, vs a Bunnies going pretty well, and often owns us...this will be following a week where they will be CANED in both media and on talkback for shoddy, inept and lazy performance over the past two weeks.
How they respond to that IMO will show me what both they and the coach are made of. I would not be surprised if the same centres are named again-but I would be happy to be surprised.;-)
IF the same team is named, and IF they cannot rise to the occasion, then yes, that would be the tipping point. Something isn't right, and the coach is not doing anything to fix it. There is only so long you can continue to show faith in players that aren't doing the bizz

What grates me is the lack of communication (that's what it looks like on the tv)... No one talking on D, no talk from the halves on attack, captain Mannering doesn't seem to speak up whenever they under the posts after conceeding points... It's terrible. And like a few posts above I Gave up and changed the channel...

I would have changed the channel if sky played Eels/Knights live instead of a fascinating game of Netball.

I'm beginning to think the entire team looks tired and disinterested because they actually are tired, right from the get go. Maybe our training and fitness is so bad that across the board that we physically can't compete with even bad teams like the Roosters.

It's not discussed that much, but all really good coaches and consistently good teams are that way because they train well and they are fit. Looks any the Storm or any Wayne Bennet team. I can't tell with us if it's just lack of motivation, if if they're simply not athletic enough to do the job they are trying to do.

Of course having no defensive or attaching structure hurts too.

I'm just glad I stayed in Sydney and watched it on the TV. I was looking at driving down to Canberra to watch the game but after being at the Roosters game last week, I couldn't face the long drive back after another loss.

Very disappointing, just hope they can turn it around real soon.

Yes x1000

We just looked tired today. That's disturbing. If we haven't done a proper off-season of fitness then we are basically f**ked.

Welcome to the boards Benek.

You're right about looking tired. Someone prob knows of we lost our conditioning coach in the off season?

Umm, the only changes from last year to this year are; new hooker and a new coach. But, Luck and Lillyman are injured, so either the team desperately needs those two injured players or the delivery from dummy half is shit or team hugs before kick off is not doing it this year.

Inu and Brown were playing centre in the last few games last year? Not Henry and Ropati.
I think Nathan Friend is fine but having a quick back up hooker (say Godinet) on the interchange to make quick yards as the opposition tires (a la Lance Hohaia) might help.
We could insert Konrad and Inu and drop Henry/Ropati-may or may not work. The current forwards need motivating......they have the capability but there is an attitudinal change required.

Taupo isn't adding anything to the team either. Id like to see Manu and Inu on wings and Hurrell and Brown in centres. (although I'd also like Brown tried out as alternative hooker sometimes to get some quick DH runs).

The defense can't get much worse than what we have now and these guys would offer a lot more firepower.

Would like to see Luck,Kevin and Lillyman back sooner rather than later, and Inu and Hurrel given a go at the centre pairing its not going to make the result any worse at the moment.
A simple game plan and a bit of communication out on the field would be useful as well.
Is Wiki no longer a trainer for us? It just dawned on me that I havent noticed him out there this season.
