how bad was the KAne Cleal tackles, honestly....

I didnt see the tackle that Kane put on Gibbs, but i believe he has been charged with a reckless high tackle and will miss 5 - 7 weeks if found guilty.

Out of curiosity, did it look intentional?

For those of you that don't know, when Cleal was playing juniors at the Eels (i think it was SG Ball), Gibbs hit him with a tackle which many witnesses described as the worst they had ever seen in smashing Cleal's jaw! Was just wondering if there is still (as there should be) some hate there....

It's hard to say it's intentional or not, but I guess he has a motive for it.


I don't think it was that bad, hence why it only got a grade one, but with Cleals' carry-over points, he will miss 5-7 weeks.

Regardless of whether it was intentional, we won't be seeing Kane for a fair bit.

I'm all for retribution, but it wouldn't have hurt to replace a swinging arm with a Kylie style hit..

Or at least hide the arm..

I would say he was definately trying to smash him but saying he attacked his head on purpose is pretty harsh. But I guess it could be true!!!!

I like to think he went in for a big hit (legal) and missed timed it!!! Only Kane will know if that is the case or not.

Only Cleal can say for sure if it was intentional, but really, it's pretty obvious it was. He should be disciplined by the Manly club, who will have to pay him weeks of salary for nothing otherwise

He did hit him Kylie style and will be on the sideline Kylie style.

It didnt look that bad from the Hill, as for deliberate or not, i doubt he went deliberatly for the head, more for the shoulder/ribs.
