But Piggins doesn't have anything to do with Souths anymore does he? In a business sense I mean.
Paul Hewson said:Shane Richardson is the CEO of Souths. George is no longer on the board of the Football Club. My point is that even if he was how can you stop him from having dinner with Braith and being involved in his negotiations?
supermario said:Thats the point, Manly were associated Via rumour and lambasted for "doing a back room deal with Orford" with no proof.
Yet george piggins is having lunch with braith and announcing that he will not be a dog next year.
Where is the NRL enforcing the anti tampering rules ?
Southern Rooster said:Braith has Canterbury's permission to negotiate with other clubs.

For once I wish I had been wrong.thomo said:As a Souths supporter I have heard all this before. We usually end up getting nobody. All these supposed "done deals" could very easily be the players' managers leaking bullsh*t info to journos so as to lift the profiles and salaries of their players. As for Piggins, well he doesn't have anything to do with the Souths footy club any more (despite the media running to him every second day) so believe what you want to there I suppose.
If we do get Bell, Orford, Anasta, etc I'll be doing cartwheels but I'm not getting excited until they are announced officially.
