How crap are England?

Seriously that was the most inept attacking display I've seen from a test side in memory... the Poms couldn't score in a brothel with their dicks taped to platinum amex cards! The Wallabies looked better than last year and ran away with it at the end but for most of the match all I really noticed was England stuffing up scoring chance after scoring chance. Oh well, should be a good 3N.

Very

also, Phil Waugh still looks like a sumo version of Geoff Toovey
the ref should have packed down to shown them how its done!
and after Horan got his Downlands OB comment in re Holmes, Bray had to come back with his Homebush BHS OB comment re Blake

and generally a typically knuckles team

Pathetic attack but thats usually been the case for the Poms. They have usually based their games around kicking penalties. I heard they have only scored 2 tries in 4 matches that there tells the story.

Agreed. But I suspect the media is going to talk the Wallabies up now for flogging the world champions when in reality England are pretty bloody ordinary (4th in the 6N, behind Scotland FFS!). I'm glad NZ got Ireland this time, much more worthy opposition to start the season against.

Nobody should read too much into last night's game. This is a development tour for England, they have 15 or 16 of their first choice players out of the team because of injuries etc.

However, it was a good hit-out for the Wallabies. Their defensive play was fantastic, and considering that Rogers jarred the attack by crabbing across field a lot, the attack was reasonable.

The forwards were sensational defending the rolling maul, in particular. The scrum shows signs of improvement, and the line-outs will certainly improve.

Bring in Gits at 12, give Larkham a few more weeks, and we will be ready for the ABs.

Fair dinkum, Australia got outplayed - the scoreboard was a travesty to the rightful result.

At least, that's probably whats still running through the mind of one Stephen Jones. I love seeing any Southern Hemisphere side rip into one of the old guard sides given the dribble he writes. I reckon he phoned in sick for work this morning.

its that boring brand of Rugby that they have been playing for years, no spark in thier attack, they are too scared of turning the ball over and play a boring game of inches and this time they got no one to pot those 40m field goals

I thought it was a bit of a snoozer and it looks like I'm not the only one who thought that

Exactly Twiz... all England used to do was get in range for Wilkinson.
Is there anyone left from the 2003 side?

Julian White maybe? They're pretty much all gone, and their current pack can't dominate enough to starve their opposition of possession and force them into conceding kickable penalties which always seems to have been the main England tactic.

Ireland placed 2nd in the 6 Nations and won the Triple crown whereas England placed 4th so yes I think it's fair to say that Ireland are currently a better side than England. Plus the Irish have always had a much more entertaining approach to the game than the poms.

I saw about half of the replay at the pub, definately a better brand of Rugby by both teams

With England playing so poorly, international RU doesn't look great right now, does it? How many teams would really have a shot at the WC if it were being played this year? The AB's would be huge favourites, France and SA would have a chance, maybe Ireland and the Wallabies (a stretch).

Am I right in thinking the international game is in decline right now? Or have the AB's just moved too far ahead of the pack?
