still get pumped by the fans even after he has moved into the number 13.

There are some extremely tough critics around.

I guess everyone needs someone to blame and if not Smith then I guess Wagon will do.

Wagon is our best 13 by a country mile and deserves plenty more respect than what he is given.

GET OFF HIS CASE!!!

Wagon is SHIT....end of story

Muspratt, Muckert & Pai would be a better option at Lock

As a lock I agree 100% Freak he deserves his spot and has been playing well, I would however like to see him, as the nominated onfield leader, get behind the line and rev the boys up. I saw it once or twice behind the line on Sunday someone revving them up and he wasn't doing it - once it was Thorman and the other time it was McKinnon. He needs to lift his head when others were down - but it was down like many others.

Just my opinion.

i dont think Wagon is worthy to be captain, Hopkins or Hindmarsh deserve to be captain more then Wagon

FREAK, you are dillusional if you think Wagon offers enough for us-he gives nothing in attack-i mean nothing- noy only that he never looks likely in attack to run through or set someone else up-he is deadwood in attack with no instinst and flair-he is dour at best in attack.
His defence is great but why cant we have a player do both at a good level?
Freak, you are too easy to please!
Put him on the open market and then see how many other clubs rate him that is a good test-i think not many will even bother.
He is a great guy-tries hard but that just doesnt cut it against the bulldogs.roosters etc-he is pedestrian.

i agree with Freak.. some harsh critics here..... especially when hes doing a work load of tackles and no one else is...

some people should go out and try doing 40 tackles against 90kilo plus guys then write critical posts here!!!

I agree with Freak.....there are players in your team that are there for attacking play and there are those that are there to work hard and defend.

I also agree with Colonel - he needs to open his mouth and be more of a onfield leader.....I think one of the best traits I have seen from Thorman so far is his willingness to talk on the field - he's a new guy finding his way and he opens his mouth and tries to rev the guys up (tho, I guess he's a pommy and u kinda expect them to be big mouths  )

yes we do....not Wagon though, we have players such as Muckert, Pai and Muspratt who can do that as well as play better then Wagon ever could ;-)

Dean Widders has come into the side, and is making as many tackles as Wagon. HE offers more in attack than Wagon.

I still think with the current injury situation Wagon should be in the centres. Much better than Langi. Much faster, and 100 times better defender.

May well find more changes before kickoff.

Widders is quicker then most given him credit for though.

Wagon's job is defense and normally he does it well. He has been exposed this year as there has been zero attack coming from the rest of the team.

Petersen is another case, he was never the strongest defensive player but in the past his try scoring ability has limited the impact his defensive errors had also he had Vaealiki inside him all last year so he had a strong defender next to him to cover with Langi and Petersen together both a weak defenders it was always going to spell trouble, however this year due to seeing zero ball unless he was taking a run from dummy half his attack wasn't up to the same level he still crossed for 4 tries though.

To same thing happened to Grothe last week v Dragons he also isn't a GREAT defender but earlier in the year he had Vaealiki with him last week he had a guy playing his 3rd game in 8-10 months and was exposed a few times in defense.

Look at the tape in the 2nd half the majority of breaks were down Grothe/Graham's side.

Check out this weeks RLW. Who made the most tackles in last weeks round of matches in the NRL out of all Clubs? Kevin Campion first with 45...second with 43...guess who....

So what??

If he was a better attacker, we may have scored more points.

Making 43 tackles didn't stop us getting our arses kicked!
Fair enough, Wagon is a great defender, but you keep deflecting the point of our argument. Smith must go.

Put Wagon on the open market and that will show you that he is a player of no special skills-only tackling in a game of footy is part of stopping tries but when you have a chance with the ball at lock or five-eight you have to at least look threatening-Wagon is pedestrian at best- in fact when he gets the ball the attack stops flowing instantly-so why does he get the ball at all in attacking positions?
Ask smithy! its been 3 years and i still cant work it out.

We need defensive players at the moment, perhaps he's not the most creative guy we have in the side, but Wagon is strong in defence and Hindy can't do all the tackling himself. Widders did make a lot of tackles last week, but he was so tired that every time he ran the ball he made like 3 metres. I think Wagon should move to the centres, occupy the spot left vacant by Jamie Lyon, it will improve the defensive holes there.

Put Wagon on the open market - lets say he goes to Brisbane - he's got others to do the attack there, so he can just be solid in defense and run onto the odd ball- he fits in well at Brisbane, plays well.....THEN suddenly he'll be "yet another of the stars Brian Smith let go" - I'm willing to bet on it!
