How does Wagon......

i think he does what he is required to do well...we SHOULD have other players who are more "attack" orientated...hindy is one....wagon takes the defensive pressure off alot of players which should allow them to attack better...i think this is what should happen....hindy if allowed to attack more and more feresh would be better for us,

Plus i still think widders needs to come off the bench and into the centres...

Totally agree with parra-all-the-way.

Wagon is there to defend so others can attack. Burt is a relatively lousy defender, and Grothe has some weaknesses too in defence, so we might as well get rid of them too.

Hindy's attack hasn't been the same coz he too is making too many tackles. You hardly ever see him push off players anymore and unload. COZ he is does not have enough energy after making soooo many tackles.

I still agree with I think 1-eyed. Smith has to make better use of the bench and spread the work load.

I think the contentious issue with Wagon is that, similar to Vella, he is one of the top paid players at our club. Definitely earning $200K +.

I put this question to everyone. Does Wagon offer our side enough to justify being a top tier earner? Look who he's competing against as far as top line No. 13's in the comp:

Roosters: Flannery & Ricketson
Broncos: Carroll & Carlaw
Dragons: Timmins
Knights: Kennedy
Eagles: Menzies
Raiders: Croker
Warriors: Faumuina
Panthers: Waterhouse
Bulldogs: Anasta & Ryan
Tigers: Sattler
Cowboys: Norton & Morrison
Storm: Kearney & Kidwell
Bunnies: Harrison
Sharks: Hilder & Bailey

I think Wagon is a solid first grader but not a rep level player and certainly not worth $200K+ to our side. If I were running the Eels as a business I would make a tough decision to offer to release him from his contract as I think his best days are behind him. I'd be throwing the cheque book at Glenn Morrison who is off contract and looking to join a NSW club. Just my opinion and you guys are entitled to yours.

Wagon is sh*t....end of story

Muspratt, Muckert & Pai would be a better option at Lock

Pai's coming of the bench for PL. Hardly an option realisticly.
