Any maiden fans on here ??

Am spewing I never got to see my favourite band live this lifetime. Family commitments made the expenditure of $160 ticket not possible unfortunatley. :?

But was just listening to the Metallica mentors ( the beatles and rolling stones equivelent of hard/metal Rock ) again today. And FFS they are good !!!

Whats your favourite songs and albums ?? . And if U R yet to hear a Maiden classic, pull the finger out dudes.

My Favourite album " peace of mind "

Favourite song though hard to pick one " The Trooper " ( or where eagles dare ) Close second .

Whats yours ????

Great album Piece of Mind but my personal favourite for nostalgia reasons is Seventh Son.

Infinite Dreams is an absolutel classic.

Also, more recently, f**k Brave New World is awesome!

"I see the ghosts of Navigators, but they're lost."

Brave New World is a good album, no doubt. One of their better recent efforts.

Was just listening to some Edward the great. Top mix of classics.

Dicko is a legend mate. Could have done anything but chose that path. How good are those guitar solo's though !!!

Favorite CD, hard to pick but today I'lll go with Dance of Death.
Another day I might have gone with NOTB or SSoaSS, SIT or even FotD.

Favorite songs: Fear of the Dark, Paschendale, Wasted Years, Total Eclipse, Ghost of the Navigator.

Freakin' love Maiden and was so happy to see them live last month and hope they make it back.

Favourite album: toss up between Killers, Powerslave or Somewhere In Time... All those are gold. Number... is good too, and Piece of Mind and Seventh Son... have some good songs on it. Anything past that is far from their best work.

Favourite tracks:

Fear of the Dark
Alexander the Great
Children of the Damned
Wrathchild
Caught Somewhere in Time

and...

HALLOWED BE THY NAME is the best song by a mile. Classic stuff...

Rock in Rio FTW!

Sure it isn't an album as such but it combined all the classics with Brave New World material.

If only they'd release a Region 4 DVD.

Just checked my RIO DVD and it is region 4 :?

Actually if there is one thing that frustrates me with Maiden DVD's is the fast cuts Steve Harris does when editing. Makes it very tough to watch as shots sometimes don't even last a second. It's like watching a slide show on extreme fast forward sometimes.

Anyone else go see Ozzy last night?

Was a good show, Zakk is a freak.

Mr Crowley was the highlight for me.

Yeah I got freebies, 'twas an enjoyable night. Ozzy's voice is still great, although his stage banter got a bit tired. Zakk was entertaining although he's a bit too much of a show-off, his solo was WAAY to long and he was playing too much noodly sh*t all over "Paranoid". I thought Puffy Bordin was great on the drums too. Highlights for me were "War Pigs", "Bark at the Moon" and "Paranoid".

However I think the biggest problem for me was I kept comparing the gig to Maiden the other month, which was such a magnificent gig that anything else would struggle by comparison.

Funny thing is, I met Zakk on Monday night and he was absolutely HAMMERED! Hard to believe it was the same guy that shredded last night. Lovely guy though - kept kissing my neck for some reason ... said I was now part of the BLS brotherhood.

But yes, his solo was far too long. I went for a beer at that point.

War Pigs was brilliant.

I'm also stunned that Ozzy does what he does given that he is almost dead!
