When I first played RL back in 1966, I lived on the Canterbury side of the border with St George territory as our street was divided from east to west.

My Dad supported Easts and Mum simply hated the Berries (Canterbury's name before the Bulldogs). I narrowed it down to Balmain, Wests, Manly and Canterbury.

Manly came up trumps for no reason other than my best mate's parents were extremely painful Berries supporters and the others had crappy jerseys.

Looks like I've been a one team man for 46 years.

My family primarily supported the dogs, but by the age of five I decided to go for the raiders, green being my favorite colour and raiders sounded violent enough lol. I broke the family trend with my younger brother also picking the raiders.

Now I'm doing what my family did to me.. My son is 18 months and owns three raiders jerseys. My daughter is 9 days and has a raiders jersey. Wife keeps telling me that they will jump to a new team, which will likely kill me hahah.

I also have a soft spot for the tigers. I grew up in campbelltown and spent time as a west junior. When they are on, they are a very entertaining team.

Late seventies at the ripe old age of 6 I wandered into the loungeroom and saw souths grubber kick a ball through and score against the Dragons. "He scored" I exclaimed to which my dad corrected me and said that the cheating scumbag was offside and I wasn't allowed to cheer for that pack of filthy cheats. The referee called him offside. The try was disallowed and I've followed the path of righteousness ever since.
Even when all my schoolfriends jumped ship to the raiders I still clung to my Red V.

Saints and only Saints. Not sure I understand the need or desire to support more than one team, but fascinated by everyone's stories all the same.

Any Queenslander that says one is a liar.

Not sure if that's true or not ^^^^, but before the Broncos got given entry thousands of Queenslanders Supported the Raiders (back when it was still NSWRL) simply because we were the only team out side of NSW. Many an old Queensland player has admitted it as well, Tallis has along with Berrigan, Civoniceva and many more.

In fact I remember Tallis being asked what was the Greatest moment in Australian RL history and him saying the 1989 grand final because it showed the Sydney clubs (and old boys club at the time) that it was possible for teams out side of Sydney (and NSW) to be successful. I also remember him saying (on the same episode of the Footy show) that Canberra lead the way for all teams out side of NSW to join the Competition, so he has defiantly got a lot of respect for us.

Would be interesting to see if many Queenslanders share his views.

That'd depend on whether you're only counting NSWRL teams. I'm sure plenty of Queenslanders followed local teams in comps like the Brisbane Rugby League, Foley Shield etc. Prior to the entry of the Broncos some may never have supported any other club in the NSWRL.

Only Parra. Whole family follow Parra.

My nan, when she was alive, had a soft spot for Canterbury because my grandfather, rest his soul, played for them. I believe even in their inaugural year too.

My sister married into a Dragons family. Her husband is pretty cool so ill back them when watching with him.

My other sister married a roosters fan. He's a f**kwit so f**k the Roosters.

The girl I'm currently seeing is a Tigers fan, which is ok. But she follows Queensland despite only ever being there for holidays. No other connection. Funnily enough, she has met Mal Menninga a few times and was once painfully rescued by Greg Inglis,so maybe that's why.
